Efficacy of Angin-Heel
Evaluation of the efficacy of Angin-Heel
More than 60 years of clinical use have shown AnginHeel to be effective in the relief of tonsillitis. Its careful
blend of 6 active ingredients makes it particularly powerful at soothing tonsillar swelling, inflammation, redness,
stabbing and burning throat pain as well as helping to
clear the associated suppuration (formation of pus) and
abscesses.
Moreover, Angin-Heel calms throat ache (analgesic) and
hoarseness often associated with cold and flu.
Angin-Heel is a homeopathic combinaton preparation
specifically formulated for the treatment of mild to moderate symptoms of:
• Acute Tonsillitis
• Chronic tonsillitis
• Pharyngitis
In the event of the appearance of severe pathological
symptoms, and especially in the initial stage of the illness, the dose used should be the same as in acute
conditions. As the complaints become less severe, the
dosage may be reduced to the maintenance level.

Indications
In two monitoring studies on a total of 382 patients
the data relating to the efficacy and tolerability of
Angin-Heel in tablet form were evaluated prospectively
[1] and retrospectively [2].
The overwhelming majority of these patients had acute
or chronic tonsillitis with typical plugs in the tonsillar
crypts. Nearly half of the patients received an initial dose
of the product equal to the dose usually prescribed in
acute conditions.
A good or very good therapeutic effect was achieved in
more than 90 % of the cases.
The product was very well tolerated – there were no
undesirable side effects.

Method of administration
The homeopathic active ingredients are absorbed
primarily through mucous membranes in the mouth
and not from the digestive tract. The tablets therefore
should not be swallowed, but allowed to dissolve in
the mouth. For infants and small children tablets may
also be taken mixed with some liquid.
