very ENERGY STAR qualified window or door is
independently certified to perform at levels that meet or
exceed energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. EPA.
All Yorktowne products matched with the proper XL Series
glass option meet or exceed the guidelines for all climates
zones. You may claim federal tax credits for installing
ENERGY STAR qualified windows and doors.
AAMA develops and updates the standards that are
referenced in many national and state building codes. AAMA
is actively involved in the International Code Council (ICC)
Code Adoptions each year both in the code content as well as
the ways that the codes are applied and the manner in which
they affect the industry.
Envirosealed Windows and Doors is the mark of products with
superior insulating and sealing technologies. This program is
offered under license agreement to customers for their use in
promoting, marketing and selling windows or doors that contain
DuroSeal warm edge spacer technology.
The energy performance of all ENERGY STAR qualified
windows, doors, and skylights must be independently tested
and certified. This is done in accordance to testing procedures
established by the NFRC. Yorktowne products are NFRC
certified and labeled so that you can be sure you are getting
superior performance windows and doors.

Exclusive High Performance Features
Purefusion
TM
Pure Fusion vinyl frames are made with only
the highest grade pure virgin vinyl compounds
with no reground waste or plastic additives.
Every corner is mitered and fusion welded to
last a lifetime.
Styrotech high density foam is injected into all
fillable cavities in the master frame for maximum
thermal efficiency. The polyisocyanurate high
density foams has one the highest insulation
values of any material.

Durosash heavy gauge extruded aluminum
is used to strengthen sash rails for strength
and durability. Aluminum is much stronger
than the fiberglass used in other products. It is
completely encased inside the welded vinyl sash
frames to prevent conduction of heat or cold. All
hardware is securely anchored into the metal.

ost windows rely on weather-stripping alone
to seal between the sashes and the mainframe.
The Windjammer system uses flexible vinyl
that will collapse when the sashes are tilted
in for cleaning. When the window is in the
closed position the Windjammer springs back to
provide a primary seal that is backed up by dualfin weather-stripping.
Dura
DuroSeal warm edge spacer technology
™
reduces thermal conductivity while improving
surface and corner appearance over other
insulating glass spacers. Our innovative warm
edge spacer system saves energy by insulating
the frame and edge of the insulated glass unit
making the unit much less conductive around
the perimeter.

With many glass options to choose from you will be able
to choose the option that best meets your needs and is
optimized for your climate zone.
All Yorktowne glass options feature warm edge spacer
technology which keeps the perimeters of the glazing unit
warm to prevent any condensation problems under normal
humidity conditions.

ll glazing options also come with high performance soft
coat LowE coatings. These coatings reflect radiant heat
back into the house in winter and away from your home
during the cooling season. Choose the coating that is
optimized for you climate zone to achieve the best results.
All LowE panels are edge deleted to remove the coating
where the seal will be made and you are guaranteed for a
lifetime against seal failure.

ll insulated glass units are filled with an inert gas that
reduces conduction of heat or cold because it is heavier
than air. Argon is standard. For the maximum energy
performance choose an option with Krypton gas.

or awning style window from The Yorktowne
Collection. Heavy duty operating crank
hardware opens the window to 90° for full
ventilation. Casements are the perfect solution
for those hard to get to areas like behind the
kitchen sink. Combine into multiple units or with
picture windows to compliment your home’s
architecture. A heavy duty multipoint locking
system secures unit tightly when closed.

Windows
Bow, Bay and Garden projecting windows from The
