WELCOME!
Special Guest ---- Helen Jones
On behalf of the Heart of America Glass
Collectors, Inc., we want to welcome you to
the 41st National Depression Glass Association
Convention, Glass Show and Sale in Kansas
City, Missouri. The club has worked diligently
to make this a very special event, and we hope
you will enjoy your stay in “the City of Fountains.”
Helen and her husband Bob have been involved in the love of glass for almost 40
years. In 1976 they began collecting and
soon also became dealers.
Helen began researching glass at the Patent Office and Library of Congress in the
1990's. This led to helping several
authors with research material for their
books. It also led to Helen writing
articles for Glass Collectors Digest and
All About Glass, the quarterly magazine
of the Museum of American Glass in
West Virginia. She also aided in the
composition of several books published
by MAGWV.
Thirty-two dealers from across the USA are
offering their best American made glassware.
Also, you can view twenty-four beautiful displays of Depression Era glassware and pottery
collections. Another feature of our Glass
Show and Sale on Saturday only is the Silent
Auction. This is always an enjoyable event.
Throughout both days of the show, NDGA will
offer informative and interesting glassware
seminars. The times and locations are listed in
the program booklet. NDGA is always working to promote the education of Depression
Era glassware and pottery to ensure that they
will remain an important part of our American
heritage.
Helen has served in the past as a board
member of NDGA and is currently serving on the board of the Old Morgantown
Glass Collectors Guild as well as the
board of the Museum of American Glass
in WV. Helen also served as president of
the MAGWV for the past three years
before stepping down from that position.
Thank you very much for attending our special
event. We hope you will want to attend the
2016 NDGA Convention to be held in Tiffin,
Ohio.
She and Bob are currently selling glass at
12 to 14 shows a year and continue to
volunteer their time and resources to the
glass organizations in which they are
members.
