The data from live surveillance equipment, whether manned or unmanned, is
only as good as the transmission system in use. SCOTTY Group’s high
compression CODEC allows HD video to be sent over any bearer, including
satellite.

Light-weight Thermal Imaging Surveillance System
The Aquila Micro is a miniature short-range Thermal Imager
designed for applications where an
extremely small and lightweight
footprint is required.
The Aquila Micro 320 is low power,
and can be deployed in a number of
different ways, on and UAV, UGV,
robotic systems, the list goes on.
This Thermal Imager provides the
ability to SEE day and night and can
give you the edge that is needed.
Discreet monitoring systems
SCOTTY surveillance systems can be
placed on ships and aircraft to discreetly
monitor on-board activity.
Where piracy is a concern, SCOTTY can
make use of small, hidden satcom
antennas which will go unnoticed by
anyone boarding a ship. Thus ensuring
live video and GPS data can be
continuously transmitted during an
incident, even when the standard ships
communication system has been
disabled.
Rugged, low-profile, fully integrated multi-sensor, tracking Surveillance System
The Aquila PTZ 640 (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) is a rugged low
profile Thermal Imaging surveillance system which
employs three cameras:
Camera 1: This sensor is based on the latest Thermal
Imaging technology, utilizing a VOx uncooled 17µm pitch
640 x 480 microbolometer, resistant to solar damage. It is
fitted to a 100mm Germanium high aperture F/1.0 lens.
“Rapidly

identities…”
Camera 2: A standard colour Sony block with either 26X or 36X zoom.
Camera 3: The third channel provides unique situational awareness
capabilities over a wide field of view (65o) thanks to an ultra sensitive colour
day and night camera.
When combined with Plextek’s Blighter B202 Mk2 portable electronic scanning ground surveillance radar
(above), the system offers an ‘eyes everywhere’ with rapid target detection (people, vehicles, low-flying
aircraft).
Cobham body worn antennas
Communication with personnel on the ground is vital in today’s military and
security world. Constant voice, data and video exchange allows tactical
decisions to be made in the control centre and passed to those in the field.
Body Worn Sector Antennas (right) are wide
band, with wide-angle sectoral coverage. They
have high gain and can be configured in
single, double or quad format depending on
the radio. They are robust and field proven.
Patch antennas are ideal for covert, security applications. This type of antenna is
extremely slim and may be sewn into clothing, webbing and baggage. They are
directional in coverage.

ISR Solutions from Alaris Antennas
Direction Finding
Alaris Antennas design and manufacture Direction Finding antennas of all sizes, for all
applications. The sizes of these antennas range from a briefcase carried handoperated DF antenna, to large mast mounted arrays.
Monitoring
Monitoring antennas for regulatory monitoring or signal detection require wideband
performance, high sensitivity and a compact form factor. The Alaris Antennas range includes active and
passive antennas for mobile and fixed applications.
Electronics
Alaris Antennas designs and manufactures a range of
RF and microwave electronics products, passive and
active, to complement their product range. These
include RF switches, antenna tuning units, multi-channel
gain blocks, power supplies, filters and diplexers.
Custom design work can also be carried out (right)
Masts
Alaris Antennas manufacture a range of telescopic and
sectional masts, for use in applications where
lightweight antennas need to be rapidly erected in either
the forward
base station or static mobile
communications roles.
Liteye HMD and Rugged Thermal cameras
Liteye offers a complete range of military display products which are not only rugged but also feature
revolutionary patented optics and sophisticated low-power electronics. As
well as delivering complete off-the shelf
products, Liteye create custom display
solutions for customers when required.
Applications include Tactical C4I, FMV for
situational
awareness,
UAV/UGV,
Augmented Reality, Driver’s vision aid and
Remote viewing terminals.
The RUGGed Small Thermal Imager (left)
is a very rugged, low power “discrete”
short range thermal imager. It’s housing is
constructed of machined aluminium parts
proving protection against the harshest
environments.
The Miniature Multi-Role Thermal imager
(MMTI) offers exception performance for
its size (right), and can be helmet mounted
with the LE-720A display.

Alaris Antennas: DF Antennas
Alaris Antennas’ DF antennas are available in various
forms. Handheld devices such as the DF-A0047 (right),
used for direction finding and transmitter hunting in the 20
to 8500 MHz band (9 kHz to 20 MHz optionally). It can be
used with a variety of equipment including spectrum
analysers and other test equipment.
The DF-A0016 (left) is a crossedloop/monopole DF antenna which
uses a large (2m) diameter to achieve high sensitivity. Both antenna and tripod are
collapsible for transport and storage.
A similar antenna is the DF-A0049 single site location HF NVIS DF element
designed for quick deployment. Polarisation is selectable between linear vertical,
RHCP and LHCP through the injection of different DC voltages. The antenna
includes an integrated switching system and lightening and ESD protection.
Alaris Antennas provides antennas for a wide range of DF, monitoring Counter IED
and Jamming applications.
