2014-2015 Annual Report - Lutheran High School of Indianapolis
ANNUAL REPORT 2014-2015 Dear LHS Family and Friends, Teachers, curriculum, students, activities, achievement, and a physical campus are the visible elements at Lutheran High School. Some believe that in order to reach our full potential, in order to show our value, in order to effectively reach our mission, we must maximize these elements. Wisdom, the application of knowledge and experience, is needed to lead this potential and validate our mission to prepare students for Christian life while providing academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment. Michael Brandt Head of School Board of Directors William Ayres, President Carrie Robinson, Vice President Anthony Watkins, VP Finance The collaboration of wisdom and the gathering of knowledge and experience are afforded to us from an incredible resume of people which include teachers, parents, students, alum, school administration, the Board of Directors, the Association of Church Delegates, the Emeriti Association, Lutheran Church Pastors and Directors of Christian Education, the Indiana Department of Education, the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, the Indiana District Superintendent of Schools, the Athletic Directors and Principals from our Indiana Crossroads Conference, Indianapolis Public Safety Officials, the Department of Natural Resources, the Indiana High School Athletic Association, The College Board, Indiana University Advanced College Placement, the Department of Homeland Security, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation, and last, and most importantly, our Heavenly Father. It is in Proverbs 9:10 we read, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” The Bible uses the word “fear” over 300 times in reference to God. It is in this use that this word “fear” is actually referring to our immense respect and wonder of the power of God. He is our Creator and we stand in wonder of His authority. All that we have, all the potential to be realized, the entire work of our mission, begins with God. What a mighty and powerful God that loves us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Our relationship begins here first and then extends to the wisdom that we seek for our Lutheran High School. Our Heavenly Father has richly blessed Lutheran High School with many voices. What a great collaboration of God’s wisdom for the sake of our young Saints as they excel in the classroom and penetrate into the communities that impact our world as Christians. Lisa Hartzburg, Secretary I pray that God continues to surround Lutheran High School with His wisdom as it nears its 40th year of teaching truth and changing lives. Jeff Alexander To God we give our honor and praise, Tim Frank Jeff Huntington Cindy Lukach Steve Thompson Michael Brandt Head of School Lutheran High School of Indianapolis Jenny Vance Steve Vandivier 5555 S.
