Grand Palais 31st March - 3rd April, 2016 South Korea guest of honour www.artparis.com Modern + Contemporary Art + Design Galerie Daniel Templon - Art Paris Art Fair 2015 The leading Springtime event for modern and contemporary art in Paris Held at the Grand Palais from 31st March to 3rd April 2016, Art Paris Art Fair is the leading Springtime event for modern and contemporary art that brings together 145 galleries from some 20 countries. Cosmopolitan regionalism is the concept that continues to drive Art Paris Art Fair as it explores the lesser known arts scenes of Europe and those in countries further afield. South Korea guest of honour Reaffirming its identity as a fair that looks to the East, after Singapore and Southeast Asia last year and in the context of France-Korea year in 2016, Art Paris Art Fair is inviting South Korea as its next guest of honour. Under the guidance of exhibition curator Sang A Chun, the fair will highlight the rich artistic heritage of “The land of the morning calm,” covering the rise of a distinctive contemporary art scene in the 1980s to the present day boom in creativity. The programme includes a platform bringing together galleries from Seoul, Busan and Daegu, a series of talks, performances, video screenings... Solo Show Introduced in 2015, the Solo Show section is designed to encourage the discovery or rediscovery of the work of a particular artist. It includes some 15 booths disseminated throughout the general sector and is reserved for galleries that did not take part in the fair in 2014 or 2015. Special rates apply. Promises Located in the centre of the Grand Palais, this sector is designed for galleries that are under five years old and have never taken part in the fair. It is made up of 12 galleries with booths measuring 26m2. Art Paris Art Fair subsidises 50% of the participation fee. Galleries may show a maximum of three artists. Monumental Video Projections Open to all forms of creation and in particular digital mapping, this project offers the 55,735 visitors to the fair a programme of spectacular projections of works and installations on the façade of the Grand Palais every evening for the duration of the fair. This is done in partnership with Vidélio + Utram. Art Books Bookshop Galerie Jean Brolly - Art Paris Art Fair 2015 Art Paris Art Fair, in cooperation with the art and coffee table books section of the French national union of book publishers, brings together some 30 public and private publishers in a space dedicated to art books, where artists, writers and art historians meet the public and sign their books.
