M SERIES
The M Series compact audio mixers represent
PROEL’s response to the most advanced
requirements of musicians, installers, clubs and
4
audio services. Born out of the cooperation of audio
enthusiasts and a team of mechanical, electronic,
and digital designers, the M Series mixers have been
designed to meet all of your needs and every single
detail has been carefully thought out to make them
easy to use and extremely efficient.
MIXER
M SERIES
The control knobs have been designed for comfort
and they ease the control of the mixer’s functions.
Besides improving the look of our mixers, the ABS
sides ease the grip, while the sturdy carrying bag
provided with each model guarantees protection
against scratches and accidental bumps. 6, 8, and
16 input models also feature metal adapters for
standard 19” rack mount.
Each model of the M Series offers a wide range of
features, among which is the highest ratio of MIC
inputs to dimensions available in its category. If
your system has no stereo equipment, you will
certainly appreciate the possibility of using the
stereo channels as microphone inputs.
For the channel EQ section, a key element in mixers,
we use very musical filtering frequencies and a
circuitry that guarantees a low interaction between
bands.
The channel control section is thoroughly featured
and includes AFL and PFL SOLO functions, a MUTE
button and PEAK indicators, while a plethora
of outputs provides countless signal routing
possibilities. All the potentiometers, including the
faders that feature dust protection, the connectors
and the electronic components are high quality
parts able to guarantee complete reliability.
Each model of the M Series features our brand
new, DSP-based PROFEX digital effect processor,
designed entirely by PROEL labs and using 24-bit
DSP and converters. This powerful multi-effect
provides extremely realistic and natural reverb
algorithms, delay and studio-grade modulation
effects. 16 different effect typologies are available,
each with 16 possible variations, and each of the
256 combinations can be selected by using two
convenient rotary knobs. Footswitches can be used
to MUTE the effects and to set the delay time for the
TAP DELAY algorithm.
Models featuring a USB interface can be directly
connected to a PC for recording the main program
or for playing music tracks directly from the hard
disk.
The amplified M Series mixers come in three models
with 250, 500 and 750 watts per channel. The M1000
and M1500 employ extremely sophisticated digital
amplifiers, based on an advanced version of Pulse
Width Modulation technology. This technology
combined with switching power supplies, ensures
high performance and excellent audio quality along
with light weight and reduced dimensions.

STAGE GEAR
DB SERIES
D.I. Boxes (Direct Injection Boxes) are part of the
essential set of tools required for any professional
live sound situation, or any application where the
audio devices feature different levels, impedance
and connections. Transforming audio signals from
unbalanced to balanced, D.I. Boxes reduce the
possibility of electrical disturbances on the line
- especially over long cable runs such as from a
musical instrument to the FoH mixing console.
The new PROEL DB series comprises three different
models: a single channel active D.I. Box (DB1A),
for use by professional musicians and sound
engineers for rental, touring, studio and installation
14
applications; a single channel passive D.I. Box
(DB1P) designed for applications were it is not
possible or not practical to power the box; and,
finally, a dual channel model (DB2A), particularly
suitable for DJ use or for musicians using stereo
equipment.
The circuitry of each model has been designed with
the maximum care. The electronic components,
including the isolation transformers (DB1A,
DB1P) and low-distortion ICs, have been carefully
selected, in order to guarantee a clean, hum-free
signal transmission from the instrument to the
mixing consoles, even on very long cables, without
impedance matching problems.
On the front panels, a wide choice of connectors
is available (XLR, JACK and RCA, depending on
the model), allowing easy connection from a wide
range of sources, including keyboards and samplers,
guitars and basses, PC audio cards and any type of
music player.
The ACTIVE versions can be powered from 48 V
phantom power from the mixing console, from
a 9 V battery or, in large applications using many
DI BOXES, from an external 9 V power adapter
that can be daisy-chained using the double power
connector on the rear panel.
STAGE GEAR
DB SERIES
The innovative mechanical design of the three
models includes an aluminum shell and rubber
corners, which provide maximum protection in
the toughest situations. When the two rubber
corners are removed, two guides are exposed,
DB1A
This single-channel, top-of-the-range active DI
BOX is designed for outstanding performance in the
most demanding setups and applications. In order
to provide full isolation between the musician’s
gear and the sound reinforcement system, and to
avoid ground loops and hum noises, DB1A includes
a MU-METAL core transformer, which reduces
phase and harmonic distortion to a minimum, and
noticeably improves sonic response. The low-noise,
low-consumption ICs used for balancing the signal
guarantee audio integrity and are able to handle
very low-impedance loads. The input section
features JACK and XLR connectors with link, and
a PAD of up to 30 dB that permits very high-level
signal inputs to be used.
allowing the coupling of two DI units, which can
then be mounted in a 19” standard rack (rack
ears included). This unique feature is extremely
convenient for engineers who need to use a large
number of DI BOXES in the same application.
DB2A
DB2A is an active, 2-channel DI BOX that
represents the most convenient solution for longdistance, hum-free transmission of stereo signals. To
obtain the best electronic performance, DB2A uses
SMD components and low-noise ICs for balancing
the signals. Any ground-loop problem is eliminated
by the differential input design, while the complete
set of connections and the up-to-30 dB PAD
allows any kind of source to be fed in. DB2A is
particularly suited for use with stereo keyboards,
DJ equipment and PC-based audio systems.
DB1P
DB1P is a single-channel, passive DI BOX
equipped with the same type of transformer
with MU-METAL core used in the DB1A. This
provides for minimum distortion, linear phase
and hum-free transmission , even on very long
cable runs. Thanks to the design of the input
stage, DB1P can also accept signals coming
directly from the power output of instrument
amplifiers. A specially-designed MAKE-UP filter
at 4 kHz is also provided, for cutting any hiss
or buzz noise coming from acoustic or electric
guitars and basses.

POWER AMPLIFIERS
HPD SERIES
The HPD Series high performance professional
amplifiers have been designed using cutting edge
technology, in order to increase dramatically the
efficiency and to reduce at the same time operating
costs and environmental impact.
The use of switch-mode power supply and class
D pulse width modulation (PWM) output stage
allows the HPD amplifiers to reach efficiency
levels as high as 90-95%. The result is a significant
reduction in the energy waste associated with large
installations, a noticeable reduction in operating
costs and a direct benefit to the environment.
Featuring high power levels in a lightweight and
20
compact chassis, the HPD amplifiers are much
easier and more economical to transport than
conventional models and this, in turn, makes them
even more environmentally friendly.
The HPD amplifiers are available in 2- or 4-channel
versions, with 500 W or 750 W per channel. In the
top-of-the-range model, HPD3400PFC, the use
of PFC (Power Factor Correction) technology
in the power supply stage guarantees that the
performance of the amplifier is always stable, even
when the voltage is not.
Regardless of any eventual fluctuations of the
power supply, the HPD3400PFC will always be able
to deliver the highest level of power: up to 1700 W
per channel into 4 ohms, and 3400 W into 8 ohms in
bridged configuration.
The input section offers the choice between
different filtering configurations (FLAT / BI-AMP /
HPF), while the ergonomic and functional design,
which includes a removable dust filters, ensures
easy maintenance in all conditions of use and
therefore extensive durability.
The protection system includes thermal protection,
short circuit protection, high frequency protection
and a CLIP LIMITER circuit.

SW SERIES
The SW Series is a range of sub-woofers designed to complement PROEL fullrange passive or active speakers. The variety of size, power and SPL offered by
the four SW models provides the perfect low extension solution for any model
available in the PROEL range.
All the SW models feature large VC woofers and a band-pass design,
providing very ‘punchy’, dynamic lows together with an extended low
frequency response.
The CLASS H and CLASS D amplifier modules can generate up to 1000W
of continuous power in a compact and reliable package. All the modules
include a STEREO pre-amp section, 24dB/oct. crossover filters with selectable
frequency and PHASE reverse switch.
The cabinets are built with 15/18mm plywood and feature 2 or 3 metal
handles and sturdy 75mm wheels for an easy transport (except SW110).
SW118H
• 18” DIE-CAST CELESTION WOOFER with 4” VC
• 1000W CLASS D AMPLIFIER with SMPS
• PASSIVE VERSION AVAILABLE
SW118H combines a high-performance CELESTION loudspeaker with a cutting
edge digital amplifier that can provide 1000 W of power. The result is a sub-woofer
that can deliver surprising output levels and very deep bass.

NEOS AXS SERIES
All the models are powered by C-AUDIO DA power modules, a new generation of CLASS D power amplifiers with
SWITCH MODE power supply, able to provide an exceptional sound definition together with very high dynamics
and low distortion in an ultra-compact package.
The onboard control electronics are based on the 96 kHz, 40bit floating point C-AUDIO CORE DSP platform,
able to optimize further the system performances through the use of sophisticated EQ, crossover and dynamics
algorithms. The CORE processing provides also network functionality through the PRONET control software
based on CANBUS communication protocol (USB2CAN converter needed).
The PRONET control software provides access to the major processing features, including full PARAMETRIC and
DYNAMIC EQ, advanced COMPRESSOR/LIMITERS and DELAY, together with the real time control of parameters
such as temperature, supply voltage and protections.
Setting created by the user can be saved in user presets that can be recalled through the control software or from
the unit’s interface.
As a further result of GROUP resources integration, the sound of each NEOS AXS models has been fine tuned with the support of TURBOSOUND acoustic engineers,
taking advantage of more than 40 years of experience as a leading brand in the PRO AUDIO field.
All full-range models in the NEOS AXS Series are provided with a dual-angle pole holders (0° or -7.5°), which allows a tilted vertical position for optimal coverage of
the listening area and with a rotatable asymmetric HF horn that can be rotated to change the dispersion angle when the speaker sits horizontally.
All the models, also available in passive versions (PX), are housed in rugged in 15/18mm birch plywood cabinets, featuring die-cast handles and multiple flying
points. A wide range of accessories is available for suspension in permanent installations or live applications. NEOS152 system, thanks to its built-in fly-track system,
can be suspended in arrays by using the KPTNEOS152 flying bar. Steel cables and hinges (AC172E and AC178) provide for coupling between the cabinets in the array
as well as their relative splay angle.

The NEOS full-range COMPACT models are available
with three different sizes for the LF woofers (10”, 12”
and 15”) and they come both in active and passive
version.
The active models feature on-board CORE digital
processing and a C-AUDIO 1000W digital
amplifier module with switching power supply.
The passive models includes precisely designed
built-in crossover filters and they can be converted
for bi-amplification by means of an internal switch,
Size and weight of the NEOS COMPACT have been
contained as much as possible in order to make
their use very easy both in portable and installed
systems. Whenever high fidelity and dynamics are
needed for a monitoring application, these speakers
can also be used as stage monitors thanks to their
asymmetric profile.

suspensions, which can optimize mechanical
excursion and preserve system linearity. Double
Demodulating Rings grant low distortion and an
excellent sound quality. The 18mm birch plywood
cabinet is fitted with four rugged 80mm wheels for
an easy transport.
The active version features STEREO inputs and
CORE digital processing, with the choice of
different crossover frequencies and a PHASE reverse
function from the control panel. As in all the models
of the series, the remote control of all the system
parameters is available thru the PRONET software.
For a correct filtering, EQ and alignment of the
passive version, we recommend the use of PROEL
PC240 or PC260 digital processors that provide the
same high-performance processing as the built-in
DSP in the active versions.

The NEOS AXS HIGH-PERFORMANCE models
provide the highest level of performance and
are intended for the use in the most demanding
applications. To achieve this goal, particular care
has been taken in the choice of the transducers that
employ the most sophisticated technical solutions
and advanced construction methods available
today.
The full-range models NEOS122AXS and
NEOS152AXS feature woofers with neodymium
magnets and large voice coils, capable of handling
extremely high power levels and to deliver very
high SPL. The 1.4” and 2” exit compression drivers
provide exceptional linearity and efficiency with
very low distortion. Both models are fitted with an
advanced supspension system featuring six FLY
TRACK flying points, which allow to form multiple
clusters in absolute safety.
The NEOS215AXS and NEOS218AXS sub-woofers
are designed to be the perfect complement for
the NEOS122AXS and NEOS152AXS and they are
designed using the same high standards. Each
model employs two woofers, 15” with 3” VC in
the NEOS215 and 18” with 4” VC in the NEOS218,
offering the latest in transducer technology:
- die-cast baskets with double ventilation for an
efficient heat dissipation;
- ISV (Interleaved Sandwich Voice Coil) for reducing
the VC temperature and the power compression;
- DSS (Double Silicon Spider) suspension providing
a controlled linearity;
- DDR double demodulating rings for a reduced
harmonic and intermodulation distortion.
The enclosures use an innovative designe that
offers the advantages of two classic configurations:
the high output level and dispersion control of a
horn-loaded system, plus the damping and deep
bass of a bass-reflex system with a symmetrical,
exponential-profile tuning port. The cabinets are
made with 18 mm birch plywood and are equipped
with sturdy rear wheels to facilitate transport.
All the HIGH-PERFORMANCE models are available
also in passive versions, which can be filtered and
controlled using PROEL PC Series digital processors.

CONDENSER MICROPHONES
Thanks to the high standards reached by acoustic engineering and electronic technology applied to audio reproduction, sound reinforcement systems nowadays
can offer high fidelity as well as top quality performance. The use of condenser microphones becomes more and more widespread, as, in most cases, they are the
ideal solution for audio acquisition. Such an evolution in this field has created new condenser microphone user profiles, featuring very similar choice criteria. At the
top of the list of the indispensable features we find transparency, durability and high quality/price ratio, the very elements at the base of our condenser microphone
design, meant to meet either the needs of professional stage use or of home recording.

DYNAMIC MICROPHONES
For many applications there is no substitute for the extreme durability and high feedback rejection of a dynamic microphone: the concert stage where sound
levels can be extremely high, the karaoke bar where the person holding the mic often doesn’t know that pointing it at the speakers can be a bad thing. Even in the
recording studio, dynamic microphones are still found in front of guitar cabinets, inside bass drums and for close miking snare drums and tom-toms. PROEL kept
these applications in mind when designing this series of dynamic microphones.
