To all old and new members.
It's time to mention that the Fun Flies have
ended until September. As most of us
know, the weather in June, July and August
becomes too hot to fly after 10:00 a.m.
I would like to thank everyone for their effort in making these events so popular.
I am sure that when we continue in
September, it will take right off again
where we left it.
Until we meet in September I hope
to see you all at the field.

With the help of Ben Dauterman, Steve
Glogowski, Jerry Krouse, John Corrao and
the wifes of some of the flyers all chipping
in with their help, it really has turned out be
a great 5 months of Fun Flies.

Gene White displayed, at our May meeting,
his new Great Planes RV4 kit which he is
currently working on. He explained that he
modified the design to incorporate a different cowling and wheel pants.
Although this picture does not do it justice,
this baby ought to be pretty nice when he
gets it done. When you see it at the field in
the future take a close look at the pilot and
co-pilots on-board.

is. Oh, how lucky we are. Have
you ever stopped to realize just
how lucky we all are? We could
win a thousand dollars, spend it
all and think that was lucky. We
could buy a new car and think
that was lucky, especially if it got
50 miles to a gallon of gas. I
could name many more things
that one could get and say that
they are lucky, but we all know
that these things would only last
a very short time.
Now if you consider that having the knowledge and skill to
know aviation. Now that kind of
luck will last a forever.
1. You are lucky to just love air
planes.
2. You are lucky to be able to re
pair a broken airplane.
3. You are lucky to be able to
build one.
4. You are lucky to be able to
design and build your concept
of an airplane.
5. Or you could just get lucky!!!!!
You would be lucky to be
able to do any, or part or all of
the above and that would be
luck at its greatest. So hang in
there. Never ever get discouraged, or lose hope, for you not
only picked an impossible
task, but this task is and will always be, wide open to new
ideas. It will bring you joy beyond your wildest dreams. Yes
you are the big hope for the
next generation and/or the
next great invention. Believe it
and do it. You have been given
this great gift.
