Assessment of impact on existing operations
The analysis and discussions with Swedish operators and other market participants indicated
that there would be only minor problems with mixed use of 2 and 3 digit MNCs, except for
issues related to 3GPP specification TS 23.122 concerning HPLMN matching criteria.

• PTS ser att befintliga SMS-providers (ca 10-15 st.) som idag
har 2-siffriga MNC:er bör kunna flyttas till att istället ha en
ny 3-siffrig MNC
• PTS tror att M2M/IoT-marknadens behov bör närmare
studeras – t.ex. om den Nederländska lösningen skulle kunna
bli intressant även i Sverige
• PTS önskar arbeta vidare med dessa frågor i arbetsgrupp
med intresserade aktörer
