Requirements
You will need:
1) Foobar with the foo_input_dts component (The same component you use to play back
DTS CDs in foobar).
2) ChannelX http://www.surroundbyus.com/ubs/download/file.php?id=1150
3) A dts encoder that works at 48Khz, like surecode DVD-DTS
4) Audiomuxer http://www.surroundbyus.com/sbu/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=135
5) A DVD burning program, like imgburn
If you are working on one of your on DTS CD conversions, and still have the mono files, skip to
the Sample Rate Conversion Section.
Getting 6 Mono Files
Setting up Foobar2000 preset
Load the CD or cue file into foobar:
(You may not have the wave form viewer component)
Make sure all the songs are highlighted, then right click on a song and select convert  …
We are going to make and save a preset. Click “output format” then add new:
Fill it in as above (with the location where you installed channel.exe, etc.)
Hit OK then Back.
Now click on destination:
And fill out as above (select “source track folder” and “Generate multi track files”.
Click “Back”
Click “Processing”:
And check “enable decode processing”.
Click “Back”
Click “Save” and name the preset something like “Monos”.
Click “Convert”.
Pick a different location, than the source folder, to save the monos. The save dialog will show
one wave file. That’s OK.
You will get a an error, which you can ignore:
Next time you do this you can just right click  convert  Monos (or whatever you named
your preset).
So now you have the 44.1Khz Monos and a cue file.
Sample Rate Conversion
There are many programs that can do sample rate conversion, with varying quality of results.
Sarcon is considered one of the best, but for this example we will use foobar, to keep the
workflow simple.
Setting up Foobar2000 preset
Note: is conceivably possible to have foobar make the mono files and convert them in one step,
but it didn’t work for me (on entire albums) for me. Perhaps because of a file size limitation.
Let’s make a foobar preset for converting to 48 Khz waves.
Load your six mono waves into foobar (you can select and rage them all in at once:
Select all the files and then right click on one and select convert  …
Click on Output format and select wav. Set the output bit depth to 24, dither never:
Then click “back”
Click on Destination:
Select “Source track folder” and “Convert each track to an individual file”.
Add “48Khz” to the end of the Name Format.
Click “Back”
Click Processing. It should look like this:
In the DSP Section After you scroll over and select “Resampler (PPHS)” click “Configure
Selected”:
Click “Back”.
Save the preset as a new preset and rename it “48Khz 24bit wav”.
Click “Convert”.
Now you have your 48 Khz monos, ready for encoding.
Next time you’ll only need to select convert  $8KHz 24 bit wav.
Encoding for DVD
Open Surcode DVD DTS Enocder.
Set your destination as a DTS Compact (.cpt) file:
Check your encoder options:
Load your 48 KHz files in, in order, 1-6, top to bottom:
Press Encode
When encoding if finished, you have your .cpt file:
Making a DVD with Audiomuxer
Refer to the Audiomuxer documentation, but here is a short version.
Open Audiomuxer and use the “Select Audio” button to select your .cpt file:
Now click the “Cue Split” button to load your cue file:
Now click “Mux To” DVD.
When that is finished, you have a VIDEO_TS folder ready for burning.
Burning your DVD
Open imgburn and click on Write files/folders to disc:
Click on the folder icon to add your VIDEO_TS folder.
Load a blank DVD and press the folder  Disc Icon to burn.
Click Yes:
Click OK.
Disc burns:
That’s it!
