Pestana Tropico is located on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic
Ocean and is known for being a very comfortable hotel with its restaurant
renowned as one of the best anywhere in Cape Verde.
The hotel is set in a residential area of Praia, the capital of Cape Verde
and the largest town in the archipelago, and is flanked by the famous dark
sand Prainha beach, popular with the locals for relaxing and playing sport.
A short ride up the hill is the heart of the old city with its colourful colonial
architecture, bustling squares and vibrant markets.
Set on two floors, all rooms are sea or pool facing and decorated in a
contemporary style that reflects the hotel’s origins in Portugal. The large
pool and terrace area is a pleasant place to enjoy the sunshine whilst the
Ilheu circular bar is the ideal spot to enjoy a drink following a busy day
