MESA 25: GSM-R Train Radio Device
The ZG25-1 is a terminal unit for the purpose of train radio, shunting radio and data applications which operates in the GSM-R network. It fulfils the European requirements for
use in rail vehicles.

The ZG25-1 consists of the digital transmission and receiving device, the controls, the
interface modules and the power supply. The RE25 module controls the MRM’s radio link,
regulates the priority of the calls, controls the operating devices MMI25-1 and the additional data applications.
The terminal unit operates in accordance with GSM 05.05 Phase 2+ over the 900 MHz
GSM frequency range in the following frequencies:

The ZG25-1 as the main part of the train radio system MESA 25-01 realises the full train
