Dear Grand Masters, Masters and Instructors,
This is to invite you to the TOP TEN ITALIAN OPEN – Edition 2015 that will be held in
Castellanza/Legnano (near Milan) on November 29th 2015.
Please receive all the necessary information to attend the event.
The TOP TEN ITALIAN OPEN is divided into three competition parts and it is the first event in the
ITF history to adopt this new concept:
- the first part is the normal Top Ten Italian Open 2015 which is open to children, cadets, juniors
and seniors in all belt and weight classes
- the second part is the “ELITE PRO” Top Ten Italian Open which is ONLY for Black Belts National
Country Team members, in order to have the best fighters competing at the event
- the third part is the "GRAND CHAMPION" competition dedicated to the Elite Pro Juniors and
Seniors M/F winners that will compete for the exclusive trophy and 500,00 Euros award
N.B.: The “ELITE PRO” competition is only for Black Belts, Junior and Senior in SPARRING
divisions!
In the “ELITE PRO” competition may also participate black belts that are NOT national team
members and that feel ready, and wish, to spar with National Team competitors.
The main 5 rings shall be equipped with electronic scoring system and large screens to have a
professional approach and to set a standard for further ITF Open Championships.

1. Information
1.1. Date and Place
The event will be held on Sunday November 29th , 2015 in the Sport Hall PALABORSANI
located in Via per Legnano 3, Castellanza (VA) near Milan.
1.2. How to arrive
The venue is easily reachable from the center of Milan by a 20 minutes train trip.
By car:

The city may be easily reached by car following the highway A8 Milano / Varese exit
Castellanza (about 20 km from Milan).
By plane (3 airports) :



Fly to Milano Malpensa International Airport (22 km from Legnano), take the train (every
30 minutes) 'Malpensa Express' or take the bus to Castellanza.
Fly to Milano Linate Airport which is located 45 minutes by car from Castellanza.
Fly to Milano Orio al Serio Airport which is located 70 minutes by car from Castellanza.

2. Accommodation
If you need accommodation then send the attached form and a copy of the accommodation payment

There will be 3 choices available and prices indicated are per person per day.
Children up to 11 years have a 10% discount at the mentioned hotel room prices.

2.4. MASSEUR
During the event there will be 3 to 4 professional sport masseurs at the following times:


Saturday 28/11/2015: 18.00 – 21.00
Sunday 29/11/2015: 8.00 – 20.00

3. The Sports Hall PalaBorsani
The Sports Hall PalaBorsani, located in Castellanza (VA) near Milan, hosts many national and
international events and has a capacity of 1650 seats. The competition will take place in two areas
and there will be also available a warming up place of 200 sq. meters

Top Ten will be the official sponsor of this event and will be present with its fully equipped stand.

5. Competition
The event shall take place in two competition areas, one dedicated to children and the other to
Cadets, Juniors, Seniors and ELITE PRO divisions/categories.
Attention please: Competitors born in the year 1997 are considered as JUNIORS!
Competitors must be in possession and accept the following in order to participate:
1. Official new branding ITF dobok
2. To accept the Top Ten Italian Open 2015 competition rules.
3. To accept that the organizers may modify a division and/or category based on the numbers
of competitors.
4. Medals will be given to 1st, 2nd and one 3rd place winners.
5. For other matters the ITF competition rules will be observed.

5.1. Inscription / Payments
Inscription for this event must be done online through www.italian-open.com


Opening of the web inscription on October 1st, 2015
Closing of the web inscription on November 16th, 2015 at 18.00 pm
Draws will be online from November 24th , 2015 at 18.00 pm onward on www.italian-open.com
Payments of the competition inscription fee and hotel accommodation must be done within

5.2. Competition Entry Fee

Pattern and/or Sparring: 25 €

Cadets, Juniors, Seniors (Pattern and/or Sparring): 30 €
Elite Pro (Pattern and/or Sparring) : 40 €
Grand Champion: 0 € (see page no. 18)
5.3. Umpires
Any School/Club/Gym must participate with Umpire(s) according to the following:


Up to 7 competitors: 1 Umpire
More than 8 competitors: 2 Umpires
School/Club/Gyms that do not participate with any Umpire(s) shall pay the amount of 75 € for any
missing Umpire according to the number of competitors.

Umpire outfit: blue suit, white long sleeved shirt, blue tie.
Umpires will be provided with lunch and event gadget.
5.4. Coaches
Coaches outfit: track suit, sport shoes, towel.
5.5. Weigh In
The Weigh In will take place at the following settled times and locations:


Saturday 28/11/2015 at Palace Hotel Legnano: 20.00 – 23.00 hours
Sunday 29/11/2015 at the Sports Hall Palaborsani: 8.00 – 9.00 hours
At weigh in ALL Competitors must wear dobok trousers and a T or polo shirt.
A tolerance of kg. 0,500 is accepted.
Competitors NOT making the weight shall be removed from the sparring competition and the
inscription fee shall not be refunded.
5.6. Sparring Equipment
Competitors must have the following equipment:




Hand and foot gear (color not important)
Red and Blue Head gear depending on the draw
Transparent mouth guard
Groin guard (worn inside the dobok trousers).

5.7. Protest
The coach is the only one that might make a protest according the ITF Tournament rules.
Protest fee: 100€

GRAND CHAMPION
Only the 1st place winners of the Junior and Senior Male and Female “ELITE PRO” sparring
categories might enter the Grand Champion competition.
Junior and Senior Male will be in one group divided into:
Junior+Senior Male –70 kg
1st place Trophy and money award of € 500,00
Junior+Senior Male + 70 kg
Junior and Senior Female will be in one group divided into:
One (1) weight division
Attention please: participation is at your own risk. The organization is not responsible for any
injury or other matter which might happen during the event. We recommend that your
competitors are in possession of an insurance which covers any problem that might occur during
traveling and participation at the event.
