Target Data Breach
On December 19, 2013, Target
announced unauthorized
access to millions of
customers’ credit and debit
card payment information.
If you used your credit or debit
card between November 27
and December 15, 2013 at a
Target store in the U.S., your
card information may have
been compromised. Purchases
made online at Target.com are
unaffected. Target has also
announced that PIN data was
not compromised. The breach
was resolved immediately and
you can safely use your credit,
debit or REDcard.
If you believe or know you
used your RMECU credit or
debit card at Target during the
specified time period, you
may want to consider taking
precautionary steps to reduce
your risk of unauthorized
activity.

• Closely monitor your card activity through Member.Net,
our online banking system. If you are not setup to view your
account online, please call us and we can help you get set up.
• Set up alerts for one or more cards using the www.v.me
website by VISA.
• Change your PIN on your debit card. Give us a call at
262-637-7274 or ask next time you are in the credit union
