I am sending you this letter on behalf of the Roanoke Rampage Football team, a federally
recognized chartable football team. The team is composed of local police officers and
firefighters from The Roanoke Valley. Our goal is to seek your financial support for this
important cause.
The National Public Safety Football League (NPSFL) was formed with the purpose of raising
funds for legitimate charities through spirited competition. The league is comprised of 20 teams
from across the country. The Roanoke Rampage football team will enter their sixth year in this
league this spring.
When the team is at home in the Roanoke Valley, we are responsible for hosting the traveling
team, meaning we will cover food and hotel expenses for the opposing team. When our team
travels for away games, these expenses will be covered by the home team. All other travel
expenses are the responsibility of individual players. Being a charitable organization, players are
required to provide their own uniforms and other general expenses. All players, coaches, and
team assistants are strictly volunteers and receive no compensation for their valuable services.
Our primary mission as part of the NPSFL is to raise money for local charities. The local charity
the Rampage football Board of Directors has chosen to donate to this season is Straight Street
in Roanoke. Straight Street is a place where a teenager can hang out, meet friends and find
someone to help them with their problems. We are looking for individual and corporate
sponsorships to maximize our ability to participate in this valuable charitable organization. Your
contribution will not only allow us to participate, but maximize our giving to these special and
deserving charities. Upon receipt of your gift, you will receive a formal receipt and
acknowledgment – and because we are a 501(c) (3) organization, your sponsorship is tax
deductible.
