noviembre - Martina Quiere Bailar
NOVIEMBRE
Martina Quiere Bailar is an acoustic quintet which started out in Madrid
in 2010. With a strong influence from Central European folk music, Martina Quiere Bailar finds their roots in the rhythms of the traditional music
of Spain, France and other neighbouring countries. Dance is an important element in their compositions so their concert places become large
dance halls.
Since their first album “Vueltas y Revueltas” in 2013 it has been more
than 100 concerts around Spain, Italy, Portugal and France, with important collaborations of highly acclaimed artists.
This “imaginary folk”, as it has been defined more than once, crystallise
in their new work “NOVIEMBRE” where they have evolved to a brighter
sound, getting closer to jazz and World music.
Folk brings no barriers. It is everyone´s music with no borders. It requires
no label nor definition. It is limitless land and our root to humanity. Martina is the joy of in-love dancing.
