Presents
PLAN OC OBEDIENCE MATCH
(Ring Rentals)
To be held in the same rings used for
Rally & Obedience during the FVKC trials.
SUNDAY Afternoon,
June 26, 2016
One Hour after end of Obedience Trial until 7:00 pm
$5.00 for five minutes of individual ring time.
Group stays (at no additional charge) after approximately every 10 dogs.
We will have two rings in use at the same time, each with a timer. Labor
to set up the rings will have to come from the exhibitors themselves.
You must provide your own “judge” if you want one.
Sign-up sheets will be available Sunday at noon near the obedience &
rally rings. You can sign up immediately prior to the match, if there is
time available. Time will be reserved on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
BASIS. You may not use consecutive time slots. For example, if you
want 15 minutes, you must sign up in five-minute increments, allowing
someone else to have a turn before you repeat. WE QUIT AT 7:00 PM
SHARP.
You pay no fee until you are ready to have the ring set up (jumps, no
jumps, correct heights, etc.). Your five minutes begin when you and
your dog walk into the ring. You may use your five minutes to do runthroughs, exercises or parts of exercises, play, train or stays. Any regular
or non-regular classes can be run-through. Verbal praise, corrections
and gentle guiding are allowed (Harsh corrections are not allowed).
Food, toys & training aids are allowed, but you must pick up any food
dropped on the mats. You may work with a helper.

USE OF RAMPS – ALL BREEDS
A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary
prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the
same manner (ground, table, or ramp).
At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp
through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Lagotto Romagnolo,
Clumber Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Cirneco
dell’Etnas, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers,
Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, and Norrbottenspets (Misc.).
At the discretion of the judge, the following breed may be judged on the table or on a ramp through
all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Cardigan Welsh Corgis.
At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show
judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Boykin Spaniels
and Whippets.
The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation
competition: Sussex Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei and Chow Chows. This
extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where
a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6
Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other
special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situation
to judge any breed.
In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor
has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp
may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds. (01/2016)
BEST BRED BY EXHIBITOR COMPETITION – SUNDAY ONLY
Best Bred by Exhibitor will be awarded from the First Place winners in the Bred by Exhibitor classes
immediately following each breed. If the Best of Breed is awarded to a dog/bitch coming from a Bred by
Exhibitor Class for that breed, the Best Bred by Exhibitor win is automatic. Best Bred by Exhibitor Group
judging will take place in a ring adjacent to the regular Group ring. First through Fourth Place in each
Group will be awarded, with the Group Winner going on to Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show. Judges for
Best Bred by Exhibitor in Breed will be as published for the regular classes. Bred by Exhibitor Group and
Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show judges will be announced on the judging program. Best Bred by Exhibitor
in Show will be judged following Best in Show judging.

National Owner-Handled Series
SUNDAY • MONDAY • TUESDAY
The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a nontitling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their
owners that are not professional handlers.
DON’T FORGET TO CHECK THE OWNER-HANDLED
BOX ON THE ENTRY FORM IF ENTERING THIS
COMPETITION.
All dogs that are owner-handled and are not solely
owned or exhibited by professional handlers* meet
the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors
must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the
entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge’s book, steward’s book & the
catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an
eligible owner. Professional handlers, household members and assistants to current professional
handlers may not exhibit the dog in any breed competition during the entire show.
Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are competing in the Best of
Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes.
The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing
in the Best of Breed, or in Best of Winners competition.
*Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional
handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves
as handling dogs for pay or received payment for handling a dog within the last five years.

entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify BaRay Events at
(360) 755-7086 or email [email protected].
• Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge
or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered
incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. If, because of riots, civil disturbances
or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND
will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline 877-252-3229.
