In July 2016, Sabq.org had the largest KSA
audience among Effective Measure tagged sites,
with over 5.8 million unique browsers (UBs) visiting
the site during this period. Hawaaworld.com
came in second with 4.9 million UBs, followed
by Mawdoo3 with just under 4.5 million UBs.
The site in the top ten that experienced the
biggest annual audience growth in KSA, growing
71% from 2.6 million UBs in July 2015, was
Mawdoo3. According to Google’s latest
Connected Consumers report*, Saudi Arabia’s
population has an 86% smartphone ownership level,
with the average person now owning 2.3 connected
devices.
The top ten sites measured are reflective of Saudi
Arabia’s high consumption of page views by mobile
devices. Sedty.com, Sayidaty.net,
Hawaaworld.com, and Mawdoo3.com all
registered close to 95% of their total online PVs
from mobile devices. The average site measured in
KSA had just over 81% of pages viewed by mobile,
compared to a GCC average of 72%. This further
confirms that mobile-friendly content and a
cross-device digital strategy is essential to
increasing audience engagement in KSA.
