 Due to frequent fire cases in building facade over years, preventing
these facade fire is very important issue in Korea. Therefore,
technical issues(ig. test standard, assessment classification, and
measurement devices) concerning the façade fire of building are
being focused on. Furthermore, internationally there is no common
classification for assessment of façade fire and the test method over
countries. In conclusion, KFPA is trying to make the more refined
revision of the international standard (ISO 13785-2, façade fire test
method) and to develop the new criteria(classification). For this
issue, We would like to have the collaborating research institute in
European countires and, KFPA took place to make the related
proposal to ISO TC92 (International standard organization for fire
safety) for international contribution.

Project proposal
We'd like to have the cooperation research institute for developing the
classification of the facade test's results to be available as the international
contribution.
We'd like to have the cooperation research institute for developing the
ISO facade test standard(ISO 13785-2) to be practically revised and for
making the related experiments.
We'd like to have the cooperation research institute for developing the
reasonalbe measument devices(ig. temperature measurement) to check the
assessment of face fire test.
