The blue pill or the red pill? Neither, for Bradley
Cooper in the new movie Limitless, in which his
character develops a habit for a transparent little
tablet that temporarily gives him a four-digit IQ.
Before he knows it, Cooper's struggling writer is a
Wall Street superstar who's ten steps ahead of
humanity in the areas of flirting, foreign languages,
and just about everything else. Unfortunately, the
wonder drug comes with some side effects.
"Besides being fun, it's a parking-lot conversation
afterwards," Cooper said of the film at last night's
premiere. "It definitely opens into a lot of questions."
Among them: how best to put superhuman mental
capabilities to use in real life? Cooper's co-star Abbie
Cornish said she'd promote animal rights, while
Alyssa Milano kept her ambitions modest: "The New
York Times crossword puzzle." As for Sir Richard Branson, who recently expanded his
Virgin empire into the production of films, including this one—well, some people would
say he's running on a few extra cylinders already.
At the after-party at Buddakan, baggies containing clear capsules (ginger candies,
actually) were set out on tables, while waiters served the dubious performanceenhancers Red Bull and DeLeón tequila. Caroline Winberg, who appears briefly in the
film as a party girl but nevertheless plays a key role in the plot, mentioned that the nude
scenes she'd shot had been cut. "Of course I wish they would have stayed in, but my
boyfriend is very happy they didn't," she announced. How would the Swedish model
have used the extra brain power the pill provides? "Maybe I'd run to be the first female
president," she mused, adding that she had an easy fix for the issue of her foreign birth:
"I'd change the rules."

Union Square‘s Regal Theater played host to Peggy Siegal’s New York premiere
ofLimitless last night, a film about one man‘s meteoric rise to the top of New York
society with the help of a ―smart drug‖ called NZT. The film‘s stars, Bradley
Cooper and Abbie Cornish, seemed to be similarly on top of their game—minus the
NZT, of course—creating a frenzy amongst film aficionados and partygoers upon
arriving on the scene.Robert De Niro, who plays a Wall Street mogul reminiscent of
Gordon Gecko, further riled up the crowd when he made a brief appearance before
dashing into the theater.
Post-screening, guests made their way via private party bus to Buddakan, which was
apropos as it‘s one of the film‘s locations. At the restaurant, the crowd of cineastes
seemed to magically triple—every inch of the grandiose interior was chock-full of guests
includingJustin Long, Jason Bateman, Arden Wohl, Stella Schnabel, and Calvin
Klein.Over drinks, the buzz was about the movie‘s premise: a drug that supplies
boundless energy and allows the brain to function at its fullest capacity. ―It certainly
wasn‘t a cautionary tale,‖ said one partygoer with a laugh.
Cooper took a moment to chat with Patricia Clarkson, costar Johnny Whitworth,and
director Neil Burger, while Cornish, in a Lanvin LBD and retro updo, held court at a
corner table with friends. ―I‘m looking forward to color,‖ she said, musing on her spring
wardrobe. And, sure enough, despite the still-cold temperatures outside, girls were
indeed beginning to show some leg—a sure sign of the change of seasons to come.

―Is this like, an Eighties/Studio54 theme?‖ one partygoer
asked aloud at Buddakan on Tuesday night, while lifting up
one of the small plastic bags (of a size favored by fashion
retailers for spare buttons or narcotics dealers for distribution)
littered across a banquette table. ―Has someone dealt a large
amount of drugs here?!‖
Clearly, the partygoer in question had not seen the
night‘s entertainment: Neil Burger‘s ―Limitless,‖ starring
Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. The movie depicts
the zero-to-hero transformation of a down-on-his-luck
copywriter (Cooper) who consumes a ―smart drug‖ that
enables him to use 100 percent of his brain, while the unmedicated rest of humanity uses only 10 percent. He is
transformed into a sort of suave super-human version of
himself, basically a smarter version of Cooper‘s
character from ―The Hangover,‖ to less hilarious ends.
The small bags were filled with small, transparent pills, which turned out to be some sort
of mint, the consumption of which did not make anyone any smarter.

Hightower were all present at the film‘s opening, hours
previous at Union Square‘s Regal theater. Stacey Bendet
commiserated with a very-pregnant Alyssa Milano, who was
eager to support De Niro, a fellow cast-member of the
upcoming picture ―New Year‘s Eve.‖
―I‘m excited to see [―Limitless]!‘ Milano said with a smile.
―With Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper, how could it not
be good?!‖
Johnny Whitworth, Oliver Platt, Stella Schnabel, Calvin
Klein, Jason Bateman, Caroline Winberg, Gincarlo Esposito
and Tiki Barber all were present, and later piled into a partysupplied bus pointed to Buddakan, which had served as a
location for the film.
Russell Simmons was on hand at the restaurant, though a bit more interested in
discussing Bikram yoga with a female partygoer than the film of the hour. James Lipton
held court at a corner table, while Rachel Roy greeted Jeremy Kost and Justin Long.
Cooper was consistently besieged by well-wishers and flashbulbs. At one point, Patricia
Clarkson sauntered over to the actor and grabbed his face with both hands, pulling him
towards her by the ears. The windmilling arms of a helpful publicist blocked her
salutation from camera flashes, though it appeared to be congratulatory, if a bit close.

For the Manhattan premiere of "Limitless," Robert De Niro barreled through the red
carpet line without stopping. On his way into the Regal Union Square theater, he did
answer the reporter's question "Can I get a quote?"
"Good luck!" he replied.
The Relativity Media thriller charts how a "smart drug" transforms Bradley Cooper from
schlubby to powerful, and attendees at the event -- De Niro excluded -- weighed in on
what wonders they'd like to experience from a miracle pill.
"Learn as many languages and dialects as I could," said Cooper. "And I have all these
instruments around my house; I'd learn to play those."
Co-star Abbie Cornish said, "I would probably learn Spanish for my Mexican movie 'The
Girl.' Or play the harp."
Guest Richard Branson was the most detailed in his response. "I would rather you
wouldn't tell anybody but when I was 18 I actually discovered this pill and have had the
most incredible life ever since. I told Virgin producers about it and they thought they
could make a fictional film of it.It's been great, going around the world, going into space,
starting airlines, record companies, film companies. If you like I'll slip you a little," he
offered at the Buddakan afterparty.

the singer looked like she was having a blast with her beau, Brody Jenner, his stepsister Kim Kardashian and Kim's boyfriend, New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries, at
the release party for Lavigne's latest album, "Goodbye Lullaby," at SL on Tuesday night.
The ladies sat on their guys' laps, then hit the dance floor. But, our source says, when
Lavigne, 26, got on the mic to thank "everyone who supported" her in making the
album, her label RCA Records was last on the list. Addressing why the disk took over
two years to release, Lavigne told Billboard.com "the only challenge of this album was

The children of movie stars get star-struck, too. It's been a while since we saw a smile
as big as the one Chazz Palminteri's son, Dante, wore after he met Bradley Cooper at
the premiere party for "Limitless" at Buddakan on Tuesday. When we asked the 15year-old what his favorite Cooper pic was, we expected him to be politic and plug the
film he'd just seen, but he said "Hangover." Also at the DeLeon tequila-sponsored fete
were Jason Bateman, Abbie Cornish, film financier Ryan Kavanaugh and director Neil
Burger, who did not miss the irony that his film - about a drug that optimizes brain
function - premiered the same night as one of Charlie Sheen's addled webcasts.

problems. T.V. Carpio, who plays Arachne, seemed elated about a further delay.
"Oh, my gosh," she told us at the premiere party for "Limitless" at Buddakan. "This
means a vacation. I missed the winter because we've been in the theater every day and
night."

attention. The handsome actor, out without girlfriend Renée Zellweger, chatted
up James Lipton about his appearance on "The Actors Studio," to air Monday. A spy
told us, "He had security guards who were mainly working to keep the women away
from him." Meanwhile, Nancy Meyers' daughter, Hallie, was spotted canoodling with
"Catfish" star Nev Schulman at the DeLeon-sponsored party, while Justin Long
arrived with a pal but left with Patricia Clarkson.

Even Hollywood superstars get shot down sometimes.
Just ask Bradley Cooper.
The Limitless star told me last night, at the movie's NYC
premiere, about getting totally denied:
Entry into a prestigious college, that is.
"I got rejected from Georgetown in high school," he said
at last night's NYC premiere.
But now B. Coop is totally getting the last laugh, since
he tried again and managed to make the cut.
"And then I reapplied again and got in," he finished.
Now he's a Georgetown grad and a major movie star,
who's dating another celeb—and the rest is history.
Bradley attended the premiere sans Reneé Zellweger
last night, and instead he mingled with castmates
Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish at the afterparty at Buddakan.
Also rolling solo to the soiree was Justin Long, who didn't look too upset that his exgirlfriend Drew Barrymore just so happens to be in the Big Apple with her new man
Will Kopelman.
Probably the DeLeon tequila that was being served helped dull any post-split pain he
might have been feeling?
Mom-to-Be Alyssa Milano's Best Advice Yet: "It's
Really Hard to Kill A Baby"

Since Alyssa Milano announced she has a baby on board,
she's been fielding tons of advice. But one nugget in
particular was especially comforting for the mom-to-be.
"It sounds kind of harsh but a friend of the family recently
told me it's really hard to kill a baby," she told reporters at
last night's Limitless premiere in NYC, "That made me feel
much better!"
All kidding aside, Alyssa said she's comparing parenting
crib notes with her costar Halle Berry...
"We had a very nice conversation about being a mother
yesterday," she told me of her New Year's Eve castmate—
Alyssa and Halle been filming within the Big Apple, along
with Robert De Niro.
And since Alyssa has been busy balancing working with her pregnancy, hubby Dave
Bugliari is being especially sweet.
"Yesterday my call was at 5:30 am and the car was picking me up at 4:45 in the
morning," she said. "My alarm went off and he got out of bed and went and ran the
shower for me."
Sounds like a keeper!
There was obviously no drinking any of the DeLeon tequila flowing freely at the
premiere and after party for Alyssa, but she said she's been craving something perfectly
healthy so far.
"Broccoli," she confessed of her biggest craving, "I'm so boring!"
Hey, at least eating tons of broccoli will make losing the baby weight a cinch, right?

There were pills on the tables. Small ovals, pale yellow and encased in miniature
plastic ziplock bags, were strewn everywhere—on the bars, the banquettes, the
orbiting trays. Some had been kicked to the floor. Discarded baggies, reaped of their
goods, lay useless by the dozen. This was not an uncommon sight. It was late at
Buddakan, in the meatpacking district, that tony war zone where zonked club kids bring
the Jersey spirit to the West Side.
Yet such openness was new even to this indulgent part of town. Odder still was the
occasion: the after-party for the premiere of Limitless, the big-budget thriller about a pill
that lets you access 100 percent of your mind. What audacious devotion to theme!
Plentiful drugs at a drug movie party!
Alas, the high procured from these pills was nothing you couldn‘t get from a lollipop.
(The contraband turned out to be gumdrops.) The crowd would have to make due with
a lesser intoxicant: fancy tequila drinks, which would probably be the last thing to
render your mind power limitless.
The Observer‘s substance intake began with one glass of white wine and one tumbler
of Johnnie Walker Black. Nothing illicit there. But his interest had been piqued. He
wanted the industry secrets. Which uppers, downers and other fun stuff do the stars
use to enhance their brains?
The Observer edged into a back corner and spotted the movie‘s pusher himself. Hey,
Bradley Cooper! Have you ever tried any drugs that have let you use 100 percent of
your mind? Like, Adderall? Or speed?
―Sorry, I can‘t talk right now,‖ he said, pointing to a woman to his left. ―Here, this is my
mom.‖
It seemed best not to interrogate Mr. Cooper in front of his dear mother. Luckily, in a
nearby booth was another luminary: James Lipton. He was seated behind the Coopers‘
table, a half-eaten plate of Buddakan specialties pushed aside in front of him. He was
all Lipton—the goatee, the eyeglasses, the eyebrows.
James, The Observer asked. The drugs. Does he do them?
―I‘ve never taken anything stronger than aspirin,‖ he laughed. ―How‘s that for square?‖
Had he seen Limitless?
He had. And, having seen this film, he knew that, in the film, there is a drug that allows
you to use one hundred percent of your mind. Would he ever try such a drug?
―I‘d think twice about it,‖ Mr. Lipton said. ―I like to think that I‘m usually using 50 percent
of my mind.‖
On the other side of the room stood cast member T.V. Carpio, who declined to talk
about drugs, fictional or otherwise. She preferred to talk about sex.
―The writer told me that, to avoid the R rating, we‘ll take out all the sex scenes,‖ Ms.
Carpio explained. ―But the director said, ‗They will see you fucking like in real life!‘‖
Good to know! (At that point, The Observer had added a glass—two glasses?—of
Champagne to his total substance intake).
Next up was Patricia Clarkson, in red, sitting legs crossed by the ballroom-bar
precipice. If it were available, would she care to sample some 100 percent mindenhancing movie drug?
―I want the drug, bwa-ha-ha-ha!‖ she told The Observer.
Is there anything she‘s tried that‘s come close?
―I‘ve never done drugs, of any kind,‖ she said. ―Except I guess alcohol. But a drug that
would make me as brilliant as all of my brilliant writer friends? Yes.‖
Well, Ms. Clarkson, Adderall comes close, and speed works for some people …
―No, if I did speed or whatever my heart would leap,‖ she sighed. ―I have the highest
metabolism. Oh, no, no, no.‖
She thanked The Observer—―It‘s so cute that you know who I am!‖—and he returned
to wandering around. Reader, go ahead and add one of those dumb tequila cocktails to
the drink count.
The Observer craved more anecdotes of depravity. Surely, there must be someone
who‘s gone on a pill bender or two. Oh, right. The DJ.
―I took Adderall all of college, it was nuts,‖ said Cassie Coane. ―Wait—Adderall lets you
use 100 percent of your mind?‖
Well, no.
―But yeah, I love Adderall,‖ she said. ―Adderall‘s the best.‖
The most memorable interaction of the night, however, was the first. Jason Bateman
stood on the stairs when The Observer approached him to ask about his drug use.
―Dude,‖ he said, his face a bit contorted. ―Dude. I don‘t know. I—‖
At this point, the first of his public-relations assistants approached The Observer, and
escorted him away.
―That‘s totally disrespectful and inappropriate.‖
Baffling. A second public-relations assistant approached The Observer.
―Did you see the screening?‖ he asked.
No, The Observer had not.
―Well, if you had, you would know that nine people in the movie died from the drug.‖
The New York Premiere of Limitless: Why We're
Already Looking Forward to the Director's Cut

Before the New York premiere of his new film,Limitless, director Neil Burger was more
than willing to expound on the ethics of its premise—in which an unmotivated novelist
(Bradley Cooper) suddenly gains, via an experimental new pill, the ability to use his
entire brain. "It's strange that they're repurposing things like Adderall and Ritalin to have
more focus, and things like that. It's a strange thing. Obviously, the movie is a
turbocharged version of that. But it's really, the question is, is your brain just like a
computer and you're adding more RAM?" he mused on the red carpet. "And are you
really focused, or are you just becoming kind of like a really productive accountant?"
The movie, besides being something of a fast-paced thrill ride, certainly does give rise
to questions of a bigger nature—and at the premiere after-party, at Buddakan, we
noticed plenty of people entrenched in bioethics discussions (a first for the meatpacking
district, we think) while sipping DeLeon Tequila cocktails. Two such partygoers, NBC
News anchor Stone Phillips and Gossip Girl actor Matthew Settle, had strong opinions
on the film—and its implications. "I would recommend it, I liked it, I would tell my friends
to go see it. All of my friends, I would say, to go see it. We're living in an overmedicated
country, and I think it's an interesting film for people to see," Phillips said.
"It's going to be interesting to see where society takes this, and if they actually start
producing drugs that can enhance our capabilities," Settle chimed in. "We've already
enhanced our capabilities in so many ways, by medicine, and we're about to become
hybrid human machines. We were talking aboutsingularity, you know, Raymond
Kurzweil's talking about machines achieving consciousness in 25 years. It's a terrifying
world." Heavy! After checking in with Settle about Gossip Girl ("We're going to try to get
Stone on it next year!"), we left them to their conversation—both were clearly enjoying it.
The actress T.V. Carpio, who plays the landlord's wife with whom Cooper has a brief
liaison in the film, had her mind on slightly less lofty things—namely, the sex scenes
that were cut to satisfy censors. She was quick to let us know that the footage isn't gone
forever, insisting, "In the director's cut, you can see us fucking like rabbits!" Does Carpio
undertake any special preparation for her love scenes? "No, you just dive in and
pretend it's real!" she said with a smile.
Also grinning—pretty much all night, as far as we could tell—was Abbie Cornish, the
female lead of the film, who looked radiant in Lanvin with an elegant updo. Cornish, who
must have one of the most diverse résumés of any actress in her age range (John
Keats' muse in Bright Star, heroin addict inCandy, ass-kicker in Sucker Punch), is still
modest enough to be grateful for each and every role. "It's interesting when you play so
many different characters and they become a part of you—the experience is so
amazing," she said. "Sucker Punch, the last one that I did, was such an amazing
adventure. I loved that training—we trained for three months, and it was incredible, I'll
never forget that stuff... I used to love putting on music and practicing my sword
routines."

This past week saw a flurry of talent touch down in New York, Beverly Hills, Missouri,
Miami and Austin where the SXSW Film Conference and Festival is gearing up for its
opening tonight.
In Manhattan, ―Jane Eyre‖ screened with its good looking cast and director in tow; Neil
Burger‘s Bradley Cooper starring ―Limitless‖ had a glamorous world premiere;
Christopher Walken showed up to lend his support to ―Kill the Irishman;‖ and Catherine
Deneuve got a standing ovation at the kickoff to the Film Society of Lincoln Center &
Unifrance‘s ‗Rendez-Vous with French Cinema‘ series.
In addition to all the Big Apple action, indieWIRE caught up with stunning Colombian
actress Angie Cepeda, star of the Spanish romantic comedy ―With or Without Love,‖ at
the Miami Film Festival; the True/False Film Fest hosted its annual live documentary
game show ‗Gimme Truth;‘ a group of Canada‘s finest, including Eugene Levy and Ivan
Reitman, mingled in Beverly Hills; and Renee Zellweger was honored by the Austin Film
Society‘s Texas Hall of Fame Awards Thursday night.

says her own mother is giving her the best parenting
tips!
Alyssa Milano has that mommy glow! The 38-yearold actress announced via Twitter on Feb. 22 that
she and her husband Dave Bugliari, 32, are
expecting their first baby.HollyBaby.com ran into the
star at the NYC premiere of Bradley Cooper‘s new
filmLimitless presented by DeLeon Tequilla on Mar.
8, and she revealed the best piece of advice she‘s
been given so far!
―It sounds so harsh but a friend of the family recently
told me it‘s really hard to kill a baby,‖ she tells us
jokingly. ―And I thought about it and I said … ‗That
makes me feel much better.‘‖
The couple who are expecting the baby in early fall
haven‘t found out the sex of the baby, even though
she ―prophetically‖ refers to it as a ―he.‖ But Alyssa tells us that ever since she became
pregnant she can‘t get enough of her mom — so sweet!
―I just think I want to absorb all of my knowledge [from her],‖ Alyssa says. ―There‘s
something very comforting about being with your mother anyway but also being with her
at this time you know, knowing that she knows all the tricks and everything.‖
When asked if there are any crazy late night cravings, she says: ―Broccoli … boring I
know!‖

Bradley Cooper joined his costars Abbie Cornish
and Robert De Niro at the premiere of Limitless in
NYC last night. He arrived in town after showing off
the movie at a special screening in LA last week.
Since then, he's taken care of promotional duties
like his weekend press junket and an appearance on
Inside the Actors Studio. The show's host, James
Lipton, showed his support for Bradley at last night's
event, where we chatted with the star on the red
carpet. He touched on his intimate onscreen
moments with Abbie, saying they were "technical,"
while she called their kissing scenes "easy" and
shared her thoughts on Bradley's piercing blue eyes.
The film features Bradley's character maximizing his

May interrupt the Charlie Sheen show for a sec? Bradley Cooper is now a bona fide
movie star. He carries ―Limitless,‖ which has strong supporting roles played by Robert
DeNiro and Abbie Cornish. The Neil Burger directed thriller is very comic book like
and lots of fun. It premiered last night in New York, with lots of star power in the
audience including Oliver Platt, Patricia Clarkson, Giancarlo Esposito, Chaz
Palminteri, Matthew Settle, Jason Bateman, Alyssa Milano as well asRichard
Branson, Denise Rich and Mary Kennedy. But it was Brad who stole the show–minus
Renee Zelleweger, who had to stay in L.A. Brad brought him mom (his dad recently
passed away) and she was pretty excited to realize that her Actors Studio graduate is
now a leading man on his own. So was ―Inside the Actors Studio‖ chief James
Lipton who congratulated Cooper on a job well done. At the after party, yours truly live
blogged the Charlie Sheen UStream show from the office of Buddakan restaurant–their
food is delicious, but producer Ryan Kavanagh wanted a vegan pizza. So calls were
made to Two Boots around the corner, and Kavanagh‘s tastebuds were saved.
But Brad–what about ―Hangover 2″? ―I think it will be epic,‖ he told me. ―I really do. Wait
til you see it.‖

about working on Broadway‘s Spider-Man:
Turn Off the Dark when she walked the red
carpet Tuesday night in New York at the
premiere of Limitless, but some troubling
news about the musical she stars in would
get announced just an hour later.
The $65 million dollar film will be
overhauled and close for two to three
weeks, according to the New York Times.
T.V. was still in the theatre at the premiere
of Limitless, which she stars in
alongside Robert DeNiro and Bradley Cooper, when the news broke Tuesday night
about the production‘s shutdown.
―Basically you live in the theatre, I don‘t see sunlight very much but you get to do what
you love so I‘m not complaining,‖ T.V. told OK! earlier in the night. ―It‘s so much fun! I
get to use all the things that I love. There‘s movement, there‘s singing, there‘s acting.‖
T.V. assumed the role of Arachne in early January replacing Natalie Menodoza when
the actress left the show after suffering a concussion when she was hit in the head by a
piece of production equipment during a preview show. It was just one of multiple injuries
on the Spiderman set.
―Obviously I was really grateful for the opportunity but also sad to see one of our own
go,‖ Carpio told OK! of taking over for Mendoza. ―My contract is until September so we‘ll
see what happens after that.‖
It is the third official opening delay for the production, which was scheduled to open
March 15.

stunts in the film – except one.
Cooper‘s character Eddie Morra discovers his full potential
by taking a top-secret drug and tests his physical
boundaries in various stunts throughout the film, including
jumping off a cliff into water. ‖I have a hole in my ear so I
can‘t actually go into the water like that,‖ Cooper said. ―I
probably would‘ve done it actually, like an idiot, and been in
the hospital.‖
He also admitted that if that the drug were available in real
life, he‘d be boring, learning multiple languages and playing instruments.

In the movie he plays a writer who discovers a top-secret drug which furnishes him with
super-human abilities.

Speaking about his part in the film to Parade magazine, he said: 'I read this script and I
fell in love with it.
'Like anything else that one becomes obsessed with, I did everything I could to try to get
the part.'
Asked what he would do if he could take the pill that gave super human powers in real
life, he said: 'I would definitely try to learn as many languages as I could right away and
then I would learn as many instruments as I could.
'It would be incredible to be able to start jamming with all these musicians and
communicating with people wherever you are.

"Limitless," the upcoming thriller starring Bradley Cooper, is a film about a powerful little
pill and its far-reaching effects.
Niteside was on the red carpet Tuesday evening, asking which skills the film's stars
would want to possess if there were a medication capable of magnifying talent.
―I‘d probably do what [my character] Eddie did, which is learn as many languages and
dialects as I could,‖ Cooper said. ―I have all these instruments lying around my house
that I don‘t know how to play. It‘s a constant reminder of what I don‘t know how to do,‖
the actor added. ―I‘d learn those right away.‖
Abbie Cornish, Cooper‘s onscreen romantic counterpart, said she'd like two pills.
"Go on two adventures," she said. ―I feel like there‘s something you could really do to
help the world with one of those pills. That‘d be awesome.‖
―In regards to the second pill, I feel like right now in my life I would probably learn how to
speak Spanish. I would love to do that," she added. "I probably would learn how to play
the harp.‖
T.V. Carpio, who appears briefly in a heated and steamy scene at the beginning of the
movie, told Niteside, ―I‘d like to be able to pick up any language in the world because I
love communicating with people. And I‘d love to be able to cook up any meal that I like. I
love to eat!‖
Alyssa Milano had a different dream.
―I‘d like for [the pill] to make me the shortstop of the Dodgers!‖

Relativity Media’s world premiere of the film Limitless took place yesterday at
the Regal Union Square Theatre, Stadium 14 in NYC. The event was presented by
Deleon Tequila and attended by the A-list cast, B-list celebrities, and Richard Branson
(random? maybe not, Virgin helped produce it).
The paranoia-fueled action thriller starring Bradley Cooper (The Hangover, The ATeam), Abbie Cornish (Bright Star), and Oscar winner Robert De Niro (Raging
Bull, Taxi Driver) is about an unsuccessful writer whose life is transformed by a topsecret ―smart drug‖ that allows him to use 100 percent of his brain and become a
perfect version of himself. His enhanced abilities soon attract shadowy forces that
threaten his new life in this suspenseful and provocative film.
Limitless is directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Interview with the Assassin) and
written by Leslie Dixon (Hairspray, The Thomas Crown Affair), based on the
novel Limitless (originally The Dark Fields) by Alan Glynn. Others stars of the film
include Anna Friel (You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger), Andrew Howard (Transformers:
Revenge of the Fallen), Johnny Whitworth (3:10 to Yuma) and Thomas Arana (The
Bourne Supremacy).
The screening was met with lots of oohs and aahhs, during and after the showing.
Imagine a room packed with over-worked and underpaid celebrities watching a film
loaded with paranoid characters and plots. The gasps of simultaneously relief and
content at the end of the film were pretty obvious.

Last night in New York, the premiere for Relativity Media's latest film, the thoughtprovoking thriller Limitless starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish, and Robert
DeNiro, provided all the glamor that you'd expect from a world premiere event. Of
course, there was a cavalcade of famous faces on the red carpet, including the film's
stars, as well asJason Bateman, Russell Simmons, Patricia Clarkson, Alyssa
Milano, and even Inside The Actor's Studio host James Lipton, amongst many others.
Also on hand were Relativity founder, CEO, and Limitless producer Ryan Kavanaugh,
along with world-renowned British entrepreneur Richard Branson, who also produced
through the new film division -- Virgin Produced.
Limitless is directed by Neil Burger and
stars Bradley Cooper as Eddie Morra, a down-onhis-luck copywriter who stumbles into possession of
NZT, a drug that unleashes the brain's full
potential. Though the drug powers Eddie to
immediate success, it also puts the newly super
powered Eddie in potentially fatal danger. Of his
most high profile role as a leading-man so far,
the Hangover actor told Access Hollywood, "I feel
very grateful that Relativity was kind enough to let me play that role."
Cooper also had an answer ready right away when asked if he would ever consider
taking NZT. "Absolutely. Oh yeah, yeah," he responded. As to what he would do with
his mind so completely focused, Cooper explained, "It's boring. I would probably learn
as many languages as I could." He added, "I have a bunch of instruments laying
around the house that I don't know how to play, so I finally would be able to learn them."
Leading lady Abbie Cornish, who also stars in the upcoming Sucker Punch, would
also sample the mind-enhancing drug. "I would take the drug, yeah." She did add a
condition though, saying, "If there was no side effects and horrible things and addiction
that you have to deal with, I think it would be an amazing adventure."
She added, "You wouldn't want to live in that suspended
reality. To have an adventure on it, for a day," she says,
could be "amazing, but you wouldn't want to live in it."
Luckily for moviegoers, they won't have to live in it.
Instead, they can go for an unforgettable, NZT-infused

What would a pregnant Alyssa Milano be if she could take a pill that would give her
superhuman powers?
"I'd like to be the shortstop of the Dodgers!" she told us last night at the premiere of
"Limitless," a film about a wonder drug that bestows special abilities.
The action flick stars Bradley Cooper as an unemployed writer whose girlfriend
(played byAbbie Cornish) leaves him. But with a little help from the miracle pill, he
discovers his full potential.
Cooper himself told us, "I would definitely try to learn as many languages as I could
right away and then I would learn as many instruments as I could."
But pill talk wasn't the only hot topic on the red carpet, so were baby bumps, as
displayed by Milano, who arrived in maternity jeans and dished that she "never looks
at labels of anything. I just buy things that I like." Fellow expectant mom Alice +
Olivia designer Stacey Bendet offered some playful maternity advice: "Always carrying
a neon-pink bag."
Another star of pink perfection? "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" star T.V. Carpio in a
drapedJ. Mendel dress and Christian Louboutin pumps. When asked about her
favorite designer, she perked up and said, "I love a lot of vintage. And I don't know if
this is right to say: I loveGalliano. And I love Alexander McQueen. I love pretty, but I
also like avant garde. Oh, and Alaïa of course!"
And Abbie Cornish, looking glam in a Lanvin minidress and Stuart Weitzman heels,
admitted the popular spring trend she's looking forward to most: "I'm really excited
about color actually -- blues, and greens and that palette of natural tones of pinks and
earthy tones. I think spring's about color."

Limitless: Just Say Yes

By the end of last night's premiere of Limitless, a new movie starring Bradley Cooper,
everyone wanted to have what he has: the dream drug for over-achievers that keeps his
character so upbeat and so focused, he simply cannot fail. A novelist with chronic
writers block and scruffy hair, Eddie pens his book, learns the piano, French, gets a
sharp suit and haircut, and speeds forward figuring out corporate finances for himself
and for a Wall Street mogul played by Robert DeNiro. Whew! With the strength of
superman, he fells the refrigerator-sized mobsters who want his stash. And keeping up
with the breakneck speed of his mind, the cinematography takes you for a splendid ride.
Bradley Cooper, so good in one of my all-time favorites, Wedding Crashers, is probably
best known for The Hangover. He is simply thrilling in this movie, his blue eyes blazing
with intensity. And Abbie Cornish, as delicate as a poem in Bright Star, holds her own in
this contemporary caper. Next up for her, a film directed by Madonna.
Alas, when the movie's stars Cooper, Cornish, DeNiro, TV Carpio, Tomas Arana,
director Neil Burger, caught up with Patricia Clarkson, Denise Rich, Oliver Platt, Jason
Bateman, Noah Emmerich, Chaz Palminteri, Ryan Kavanaugh, James Lipton, Giancarlo
Esposito, and others at Buddakan for an after party, it soon became clear that the pills
in cellophane strewn across the restaurant's tables were mere placebo. Fortunately
cocktails made with DeLeon tequila were on hand for a quick fix.

Milano on Being Pregnant: "I Love My Belly

Soon-to-be-momAlyssa Milano told Niteside she‘s ecstatic to be pregnant, and is
enjoying every moment.
―I‘m very excited! And I love my belly,‖ she said.
The actress carried said belly well at Relativity Media‘s world premiere of Limitless at
Regal Union Square 14 this week, whilst wearing stilettos and balancing an active
career no less.
The actress added, ―I feel great. I have no complaints.‖
Milano is currently filming the celeb-packed rom-com "New Year‘s Eve," but explained
that her girth is no match for her character‘s forgiving wardrobe.
―I‘m wearing scrubs in the movie, so it‘s easy to hide. I could hide a small person in a
pair of scrubs! It‘s been fine.‖
Recently, however, a role required her to cover it up. ―I worked last week on 'Breaking
In,' which is Christian Slater‘s new show. We had to hide it because I was in tighter
clothes.‖
So, have Milano and her hubby nailed down a baby name?
―I don‘t have a name yet. Here‘s my deal: we so often have women and couples that
say, ‗I have a name picked out.‘ And then you see the kid and it doesn‘t match the kid.
And they had to go back to square one.‖
―We have it narrowed down," she added. "We have a few names picked out.‖
