Did you know that many Prince George’s County residents have lifestyle-related diseases that stem
from lack of physical activity? We’re hoping to change that! That’s why during the month of May,
we’re offering FREE fitness activities for families at various M-NCPPC venues throughout the County.
Have fun, get fit and adopt a healthy lifestyle by participating in the following activities:

QR FIT Code Workout Trail
Bring your smartphone and use interactive trail signs to work out
while walking the trail. Each code on the sign features a video of
a trainer demonstrating how to perform specific workouts. No
equipment needed!
How to Use QR FIT Trail:
➊ Download a FREE QR Code reader app on your smartphone.
➋ Scan the QR FIT code that is on the trail’s welcome sign.
➌ Walk to the next sign on the trail to begin your workout.
➍ U sing your smartphone, scan the QR FIT code that corresponds with the workout of your choice.

With over 2 miles of natural surface trails, the
Governor Bridge Natural Area is an excellent
area for hiking, biking, bird watching and
nature study. All trails are identified by white
fiberglass markers with color coded diamond
directional arrows. Users are encouraged
to evaluate trail conditions prior to use and
follow proper trail etiquette. Please call to

surface of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trail.
The trail is completely separated from traffic

Anacostia River Pontoon Boat
Tours
Join a naturalist or historian on a 15-seat or
40-seat pontoon boat for an environmental
and/or historical tour of the scenic Anacostia
River. Registration begins 30 minutes prior
to the scheduled departure time at the
gazebo near the park office. (Please note: all
passengers must wear a life vest. Boat tours
may be cancelled due to inclement weather.)
After the boat tour, feel free to walk the trails
along the Anacostia River.

Creation Project

American Indian Village at Patuxent River
Park. Help is needed in various areas such
as collecting natural materials; tree & wood

cooking circles, palisade fence, work shelter,
hands-on exhibits; and more. Groups are

Yoga and writing both use literal and
metaphorical vehicles to discover dormant
parts of ourselves by illuminating pathways
to feelings, memories, images, and stories
