All DeLonghi Universal Panel are PHD. They are fitted as standard with the kit for energy saving low temperature operation with
preferential heat diffusion, and preset thermostatic valve.

De’Longhi Universal Panel
NB: Typical install height is 150mm from floor to radiator pipes (181mm to bottom of radiator). Please check height of
skirting boards as radiator pipes need to be above skirting. For radiators over 1800mm, extra mounting brackets should
be considered.
De’Longhi Universal steel panels are supplied with preset thermostatic valve.
The flow and return pipes are 50mm apart when measured centre to centre. It is 31mm from the centre of the return to
the outside edge of the radiator. (The flow is always to the inside or centre of the radiator.)
De’Longhi Universal panels are finished with a top grille and side cover, except type 10.
CONNECTIONS AND STOCK PANEL
• supplied with preset thermostatic valve on the right; De’Longhi Universal panel can be
supplied with the insert on the left side (see order code modification) – PHD Radiators
are not symmetrical.
• Bottom connector 50 mm tappings centre, 3/4” outside thread
• models 21, 22, 32 and 33 do not have welded back supports, but the valve position
is not symmetrical
• models 10 and 11 have back supports and the valve is positioned on the right as
standard
the thermostatic head must be ordered separately
2 x 1/2” connections, internal thread on opposite side of the thermostatic insert with:
1 x 1/2” blind cap provided, premounted
1 x 1/2” vent plug provided, premounted
Radiator Set Out for All Models
SAFETY
Radiators with thermostatic valve cannot be inverted around any
of the three axes.

• the sides of De’Longhi panels are fastened with screws, safer
than the interlocking system adopted on other panel radiators
and complying with the strict German BAGUV safety standards.

CONNECTION
• Plattella Thermostatic radiators can be connected to either a one- or two-pipe
installation with a distributor with 50 mm tappings centre. The water outlet
must always be connected to the inner connection of the connector with 50 mm
tappings centre.
• For connection to both two- and one-pipe installations, a distributor is required
and must be specifically ordered (see The Plattella Thermostatic Accessories page
for the range of distributors available).
*Also applicable to DeLonghi Linea Designer Radiators
BRACKETS AND SUPPORTS
• models 21, 22, 32 and 33 are without welded back supports and can therefore be
mounted on the wall by means of the F7 quick-fit brackets provided.
• models 10, 11 have welded back supports and can be mounted with brackets
provided: GB for model 11, D30 for model 10. Alternatively, floor anchors can
be used.
• for models 10 and 11: 4 welded supports up to and including a length of 1600
mm; over this, 6 supports
• the number of brackets to be ordered depends on the number of supports on the
radiator (quantity divided by 2)
• a choice of other brackets is available on the relative page.

Installation Details
Type 11 Radiators
VALVES: Type 11 and Linea radiators cannot be
reversed; the valve is always at the right hand end
of the radiator. (The Linea can be ordered with the
valve at the left or right end of the radiator.)

MOUNTING:
Type 11 radiators
have fixed
position bracket
mounts welded
on the back side
of the radiator.
The centre of the
bracket is 117mm from each end of the
radiator. Alternatively, floor anchors can be
used. Type 11 radiators are supplied with two angle brackets to be secured to the wall.
Type 21, 22, 32 and 33 Radiators
VALVES: Type 21, 22, 32 and 33 radiators can be
installed with the valve on either end (reversible
radiators). The flow is always to the inside or
centre of the radiator.
MOUNTING: These radiators are supplied with
easy-fit brackets. These can be mounted anywhere
along the length of the radiator as they simply clip
the top and bottom edge.
NB: Wall fixing stud position is flexible but
recommend 150mm in from each end of the
radiator.
