scenic wall papers, many of which use original drawings from the 19tr century. This woven textile,ireated
exclusively for Pearson in the United States, is inspired from these artisanal creations. This tree of life
pattern features taupe trees and grasses, interspersed with rose and turquoise exotic birds and butterflies.
The ivory ground mimics a raw silk. A truly classic look.

True ikats have the pattern hand dyed into the warp, making the fabric a huly handmade work of art. This
textile is created in those same time honored techniques that have been in place since ancient times. The
design is first drawn onto stretched out sections of the warp. Areas of the warps are then wrapped with yarn
to keep them from being dyed. The section that is not wrapped is then dip dyed by hand. The warps dry, arc
unwrapped, and the rewrapped in other areas to apply another color. This is repeated over and over until all
of the pattem is dyed onto the warp. Keep in mind this woven will contain slubs and knots. These are not
considered to be defects, but instead add to the natural beauty of the product. This wonderfully colorful ikat

This textured velvet reminded us of Persian lamb coats of the 50's and 60's. Using actual Persian larnb
fleeces is now frowned upon due to the cruel harvesting techniques and the endangered status of the breed,
so recently in fashion we have seen a move towards faux Persian lamb materials. This texture is both
feminine and masculine at the same time, and in this golden bronze colorway it adds an unexpected touch
