MINIMUM ORDER

SIZING STANCAPS
• Please use our Stancap sizing kit to choose the correct size Stancaps. Glossy Stancap orders require
submission of glassware to ensure correct sizing.
• Stancap sizing by anyone other than Stancap is the responsibility of the purchaser.

PACKING AND SHIPPING

EXCESSIVE INK COVERAGE
• A waiver form must be signed by the customer prior to the production of Cellulose, Non-Woven Sofette
Coasters and Ramekin Covers whenever the custom design has excessive ink coverage. The customer must
understand the item’s absorbency reduction, ink odor and possible curling due to this process.

Please follow these artwork requirements in order to maintain quality standards and produce high quality products.
FILE DELIVERY
• CD, DVD or Upload via FTP (call for details)
ACCEPTABLE FILE TYPES
• Adobe Photoshop (for 4 color process only); Adobe Illustrator (Please export Corel Draw files as Illustrator files;
Adobe InDesign; Freehand; Quark Xpress
• Vector EPS and vector PDF files are accepted. Files must be saved from the original vector program in which they
were created.
• All files must contain the appropriate file format suffix (example: .eps, .tif, .jpg, .ai, .psd)
• Please compress large files prior to attachment utilizing software such as Stuffit or ZIP.
• You may download these compression softwares from the internet.

Terms of Sale
All orders are subject to acceptance of Sonoco.
Prices quoted on orders for all products cover packing in
our standard size cartons or boxes. Prices will be quoted
for special packaging.
Our prices are quoted for immediate acceptance and
are subject to change without notice. Orders will be
billed at the prices in effect at the time of the shipment.
Sonoco guarantees its products against defects in material
or workmanship, and any merchandise for which credit
is to be claimed must be reported to us as considered
defective within 90 days from date of shipment.
All materials utilized in the production of Sonoco products
and the manufacturer of these products are designed
to perform the function for which they are produced.
When Sonoco’s products are incorporated into other
assemblies, the customer is responsible for performing
his own qualification tests for proper selection and use
of these products.
Sonoco’s liability extends only to replacement or credit
for materials or products produced, sold or distributed
by Sonoco and deemed to be defective after notification
as listed above and inspected by Sonoco. No other
warranty, guarantee or liability is express or implied
except as detailed in writing and signed by an executive
officer of Sonoco.
The bill of lading attached to our invoice indicates that
the shipment has been delivered in first-class condition to
the transportation company and that they are responsible
for any loss or damage in transit.
In as much as damage of this sort is beyond our control
and is the responsibility of the carrier, we ask you to
instruct your receiving clerk either not to accept such
damaged cartons, or to note on the transportation
company’s delivery receipt the number of damaged
cartons and the extent of the damage.
In the event of concealed damage, i.e. not apparent from
the outside appearance of the carton, the carrier must be
required, within 15 days from the date of delivery, to
conduct an inspection of such damage.
The carrier’s inspection report is an integral part of all
claims and is a major factor to the carrier in determining
whether or not a particular claim will be honored. The
foregoing procedure is necessary in that if the supplies
themselves are unusable due to the carrier damaged, it
is necessary for you to file a claim with the carrier for the
amount of the damaged supplies.

All such claims must substantiated by one or more of the
following: 1) The signed delivery receipt bearing the
notation as to the damaged. 2) The carrier’s inspection
report 3) Proof that the carrier was notified of concealed
damage within 15 days after the shipment was delivered.
We, as a company, through our Customer Service
Department, will be glad to render any assistance
possible to help you bring such a claim to a satisfactory
conclusion with the carrier. We cannot, however, accept
responsibility or accept for credit, supplies damaged in
this manner.
Shipments are to be made in accordance with our estimate
as stated on our acknowledgment or as instructed by the
purchaser.
If request for change on printed items does not reach
the factory prior to production, purchaser agrees to
accept any products made in accordance with the
original instructions. On unprinted items, a request for
change must reach the factory at least two days prior to
estimated shipping date.
If by reason of unavoidable accident, act of God,
fire, strikes, lockouts or other labor interferences,
riots, insurrection, war or any other cause beyond the
reasonable power of control of seller, Sonoco shall be
prevented from receiving any merchandise at our factory
in quantities sufficient to normally produce customers’
orders or if our plant or the production there from shall
at any time be commandeered by the United States
Government, or devoted or applied to governmental use
at governmental request, or we shall be unable to obtain
raw materials because of governmental regulation
or priorities, Sonoco may thereupon or at any time
thereafter, either cancel any order in whole or in part as
to the undelivered portion thereof or suspend deliveries
on any order whole or in part.
No verbal agreements or understandings other than
those appearing herein are authorized and therefore will
not be binding or valid.
In the event of collection of past due accounts through
collection agencies or legal means, the customer agrees
to pay all court costs, collection agency fees and attorney
fees incurred as well as interest on the principal at 24%
per annum from date of invoice (or highest percentage
allowed by law).
Placement of orders with Sonoco acknowledges
acceptance of the Terms of Sale, Returned Goods and
Condition of Sale.
Returned Goods Policy
• Authorization for return must be obtained prior to shipment to Sonoco Paperboard Specialties
• Division and must be shipped prepaid.
• Unprinted or stock printed Stancap products returned for credit must be returned within 90 days of invoice
date. Items over 90 days old are not acceptable for credit.
• All Stancap orders returned for credit are subject to our inspection and acceptance as to re-saleability.
• Custom printed orders are not returnable.
• Unprinted or stock printed Stancap products being returned for credit must be in undamaged original cartons.
• Open, broken, wet or crushed cartons of unprinted or stock printed coasters cannot be returned for credit.
• Special sizes, other than the standard listed sizes on our price list, are custom manufactured and are not
returnable for credit.
• All unprinted or stock printed Stancap products returned for credit and accepted for return by Sonoco are
subject to a 10% fee or $7.00 per single carton (whichever is greater) repackaging and handling charge.
Master cartons are charged at $14.00 per carton.
