Suicide - Cheree
An electric compilation as stylish as the
downtown hipster mecca, The Standard
4:19 is the soundtrack to a perfect night
out. Escape into an urban oasis with
innovative, genre mixing groove.
From Soul and Reggae to Ambient and
Electronic, each track is a mini-vacation.
From “Sensing Owls” by indie mellow
guru Jose Gonzalez (best known for his
collaboration with Zero 7 on their most
recent album) to the warm sun-drenched
vocals of Gecko Turner on “Dime Que te
Quea”. Suicide’s “Cheree” calls to mind
the New York art scene of the early 80’s,
while Darondo’s “Didn’t I’ is a journey into
old school soul. The Magic Numbers’
cover of Beyonce Knowles’ “Crazy in

Air Traffic Control To Be Free
Brothers Kirk and Jordi were founding
members of long-standing East Coast indie
rockers, Madhat - a band they started while
barely old enough to go outside without
supervision. That outfit managed to release
three joyous CDs of youthful rebellion as well
as touring the country and finding their often
self-produced videos on MuchMusic. They
learned by doing and now they've grown up.

featured this new line-up and was produced by
the band in their home studio (Electro Land),
the same space that cranked out Madhat's "To
The World," easily one of the best records to
come out of Canada's Atlantic provinces in
recent memory.
The New Story
Although Kirk and Jordi have always been the
center of the action, other components of the
band have been about as permanent as the
harbor ice in their native Lunenburg. The
ironic addition of Comstock cousin Luke has
provided the necessary glue for a new
permanence, a new mature sound and,
ultimately, a new band. That band is Air
Traffic Control. As the name suggests, it
promises to put order to chaos and give these
young but seasoned pros a definite flight plan
for the future.
Air Traffic Control’s first and self titled record
The previous album got a nomination for new
group of the year at the NSMW conference and
an East Coast Music Award nomination for
Alternative Group Of The Year. The album's
lead cut, "Feel Proud" found its way onto EA
Sports' Rugby game for PlayStation2, XBOX
and PC to the tune of 800,000 units.

The sound is dynamic, the lyrics are thoughtful and the performance is rocksteady. The band is ready to face the nation. We hope you like it.
Tour dates in the East Coast and in Ontario (see tour pages)

An exciting dose of alt-rock with the warmth of a south shore summer, it features Kirk's fullbodied guitar heroics, a propulsive rhythm section in drummer Jordi and bassist Luke, who
brings a New Order melodic underone to the arrangements. - The Coast

Since the early days of beats and rhymes when flashy b-boys
flaunted massive gold ropes, three finger rings and top-dollar
European designs, high-end fashion trends have remained a staple in
the hip hop culture. Today, rappers of the 21st Century continue to up
the ante. On their never-ending quest to outdo the previous
generation, this new evolution of hood rich emcees have replaced fat
gold chains with diamond-encrusted platinum pieces, 22-inch rims
and houses the size of football fields. Add to this batch of the rich and
infamous rappers Atlanta newcomer Gucci Mane. T he Dirty South
neophyte gained recognition throughout the underground on the
strength of his flossy jump-off single Icy, a saucy ode to his love for
princess cuts featuring newly signed Def Jam artist Young Jeezy. .

Mr. Pookie established himself with the release of his first CD,
Tha Rippla, back in 2000, which sold some 100,000 copies
around the Dallas area and laid down a unique countrified
hip-hop sound for the D/FW area. Then came Mr. Lucci, with
his debut album, Diabolical, which sold an equally impressive
60,000 units in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. From their solo
albums to the collaborative projects, to their appearances on
the popular chopped & screwed mix CD compilations, and the
new Dallas Crooks: Southern Smoke Special Edition
compilation CD by mixtape icon D.J. Smallz, Mr. Pookie & Mr.
Lucci have sold an astounding 300,000 units in and beyond
the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

1973
1973 is the highly anticipated debut
album from Britain’s hottest ska band,
Skaville UK. Track after track delivers
relentless ska rhythms and addictive
melodies. The album as well as the title
track “(I wish it was) 1973” mixes a
modern 2-tone sound with elements of
70’s Glam Rock. Hailed as a ska
‘Supergroup’, Skaville UK includes
Grammy winners Nick Welsh on vocals
and bass, and Al Fletcher on drums. This
pair has played with and produced acts
such as Prince Buster, Dave Barker,
Laurel Aitken, Judge Dread, Rico
Rodriguez, Selecter, Bad Manners, King
Hammond, and Lee Perry. Guitarist Louis
Alphonso and keyboardist Martin Stewart
were both original members of Bad
Manners, and wrote many of the band’s
hits. This album also features guest
appearances from Rhoda Dakar (Ex-
Bodysnatchers & Special AKA) and Jenny
Matthias (Ex-Belle Stars).
1973 is a stellar debut, an explosion of
driving, beefy ska. This album is an
essential for any true ska fan.

Moon Ska World presents the debut album and first solo
recordings from the legendary 2-Tone Records singer,
Rhoda Dakar.
Dakar was the main vocalist from the ska band The
Bodysnatchers: the only all-female band of the British 2Tone ska revival movement. The Bodysnatchers had hits
with 'Let’s Do Rocksteady’ and ‘Easy Life’, and was

After The Bodysnatchers, Dakar collaborated with the
band Special AKA on the hit single ‘The Boiler’, which led
to her joining the band and recording the album In The

Grammy winning ex-Selecter and Bad Manners
songwriter Nick Welsh.

Dr. Feelgood was the ultimate working band. From their
formation in 1971 to lead vocalist Lee Brilleaux's untimely death
in 1994, the band never left the road, playing hundreds of gigs
every year. Throughout their entire career, Dr. Feelgood never
left simple, hard-driving rock & roll behind, and their devotion to
the blues and R&B earned them a devoted fan base. That
following first emerged in the mid-'70s, when Dr. Feelgood
became the leader of the second wave of pub-rockers. Unlike
Brinsley Schwarz the laidback leaders of the pub-rock scene,
Dr. Feelgood were devoted to edgy, Stonesy rock & roll, and
their sweaty live shows — powered by Brilleaux’s intense
singing and guitarist Wilko Johnson’s muscular leads —
became legendary.
This 2 cd set features the two albums and singles tracks
that the band recorded with the legendary Stiff Records
label during the 70’s.
The Legend Lives On
Grand Records are very proud to present a brand new DVD
from the legendary Dr Feelgood. Recorded Live in London on
the 20th August 2005 at the Mean Fiddler, the band rip and roar
through a classic set of tunes to a very appreciative audience of
Feelgood fanatics.

TRACY STARR is modern rock with a
sense of danger and beauty that’s been
missing in rock music for far too long. The
band’s suitably explosive yet gorgeous
self-titled debut Tracy Starr marks a new
beginning from a band of rock n’ roll
brothers united by some interesting pasts
and a suddenly brighter future.
Busting with the fire and passion of a
genre seemingly forgotten in today’s age
of disposable pop stars, Moncton, New
Brunswick’s Tracy Starr is set to turn the
hard rock world on its head. The debut is
stuffed with pure rock n’ roll goodness,
from the opening song “Yellow Rose” –a
relentless guitar storm with more hooks
than a tackle box, to the first single “Ride”
–a blistering assault on your rock senses,
to the last track “Gonzalez” –an epic track
with twists and turns that leave you
wanting more.
Live shows leave nothing to be desired
either; they are the release of pent-up
artistic intensity - that moment of pure
adrenaline when the audience can taste the
band’s undiluted exhilaration of realizing
The Dream.
KEY SELLING POINTS:

Bonecrusher Free
Bone Crusher is an Atlanta native and the CEO of
Vainglorious Entertainment. The notable rapper
and entertainer born Wayne Hardnett, made his
mark in the hip-hop industry with his 2003 debut
album titled, AttenCHUN! The album’s high energy,
hit single, “Never Scared” led superstar producer
Jermaine Dupri to sign him to his So So Def label.
The single became a mainstay on the play lists of
hip-hop stations around the country. It was the
video for “Never Scared” that knocked fellow rapper
50 Cent from the number one spot on BET’s 106 &
Park and showed a no holds barred, large and in
charge MC with lyrics to match, propelling Bone
Crusher to hip-hop stardom. Evidence of his
success includes the record-breaking numbers and
#1 placement on the R&B Album and Rap Album
Billboard charts, #1 ranked videos, Hip-Hop
awards and nominations, unforgettable
collaborations, and acting.
The first album release from Vainglorious will be
“FREE” dropping the alternative hip hop song
Round which is currently heatin’ up the clubs
worldwide. However, with a new label, a new

Succeed, the 3 installment in the Extra
Credit series. The album includes Lucky’s
most mature verses and the slickest
consistent production to be found on one of
his records yet. And A-Level indie hip hop
cred from guests like Aesop Rock, Slug,
Mickey Avalon, and a few others. Being a
part of what are probably the biggest hip hop
shows EVER, Rock the Bells, and the cobranded Paid Dues tour hitting major markets
across the US, Lucky is stepping into a
spotlight in front of thousands of hands
waving in the air just as the record drops.
And, in line with the release, top level urban
clothing label L-R-G will feature Lucky in a
national glossy full page ad campaign, which
also highlights the album release and tour
dates. The pieces are in place, table set,
Lucky is ready to head to the top of the class.

Mystery of Two
Arrows Are All You Know
Though the members of Mystery Of Two
would never admit it, theirs is more a mission
than a band – and maybe that’s a hint to the
name, which confounds so many people: how
do you relate?

Start here: Mystery Of Two is a forward
thinking rockin’ trio from Cleveland, Ohio, and
as such have already endured the
comparisons to Pere Ubu (Cleveland’s
famous avant-gardists). The comparison is
fine with them, especially considering that
Mystery Of Two members Ryan Weitzel and
Lonn Schubert also played with Home and
Garden: the band started by some of the
original Pere Ubu band members. Mystery of
Two is motivated by a common goal: “make
what you need to hear out of what you have”.
Or maybe it’s ‘Making what you have to hear
out of what you need”
On Arrows Are All You Know, this conflagrant
trio presents an unholy fusion of the Talking
Heads and fIREHOSE, of Television (the
band) and psychedelia (the sound), anchored by
Nick and Lonn’s nimble rhythm section and
painted over with the howl of barely expressive
anguish from Ryan Weitzel. This music is more
about feeling than treatise, more expression
than meaning. It is unapologetically itself,
unbound by pretence or arch intent. It’s a hippiecum-art ideal, spun out precisely by gifted
players. This is good new rock music – Mystery
Of Two is synergy, a synthesis. It is Now.
