Quality LP Gas Products from a Company You Can Trust Bob’s Corner TEECO Topics is published four times yearly by TEECO Products, Inc. as a service to our customers. 3,000 copies are distributed to customers and selected LPG industry leaders. By Bob Bailey Executive VP of Operations, COO Teeco Products, Inc. Executive Vice President & COO Bob Bailey Vice President of Administration & CFO Gary Childress Well, we are ready to start the 4th quarter of the year and we probably all have our fingers crossed hoping for a wet and cold winter. It has been a busy year so far, so let’s all hope for a great 4th quarter. This has been a strange year for me due to the fact that I started in this industry in 1975 and have suddenly discovered after 40 years, that I might be one of the old timers. The strange part is I never planned on being around this long. There is just something about this business that gets in your blood. Now with the title of “Old Timer” comes some responsibilities. I remember those “Old Timers” that I have worked with, or worked for, over the years that took the time to mentor or teach me about this business. They understood that it was their responsibility to train the next generation and pass down their knowledge so our industry could continue to grow and have a future. This is something that everyone at Teeco takes very seriously. We listed in this month’s Teeco Topics all our employee’s years of service and as you can see we have quite a few “Old Timers.” All of us this year made a commitment to be more involved in our local associations and to offer and provide training. I personally travelled to Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona for pump and meter schools. Our sales staff provided many tailgate training sessions and we have donated our facilities for CETP training. We have trained in excess of 300 customers and we are not done yet. If you missed one of our sessions or need training provided to your employee’s please give this “Old Timer” or your Teeco sales person a call. Hope you enjoy this quarter’s Teeco Products and Thank You again for your support. This flag comes standard on a heavy steel base that can be bolted down to your sidewalk or parking lot, or can be left unbolted so you can bring it in each night. These feather flags move with the slightest amount of wind, so there is constant motion. They come standard with a one sided graphic, but the image is translucent so the image is seen on both sides. Revolving Propane Tank DFB DFBX This revolving sign makes is a serious attention getter. Bold graphics are printed on lightweight / ridged corrugated plastic with a clean profile cut. The result is a clean looking graphic that takes the wind and “revolves” on the heavy-duty yard spike. (Item #DTGR) If you don’t have a yard in which to display your Revolver, the X Base (Item #DTXBT) is perfect for hard flat ground or cement. Give it new life and reduce waste with one of these great programs! Dispenser Refurbishing Program 1. 2. RegO Relief Valve Recertification Program Teeco inspects the old dispenser - tests the pump and motor for functionality; checks the cage for dents, corrosion and rust; and makes sure the meter and register are operational. Replace relief valves at a lower cost than buying new ones. 1. Purchase a new or recertified 3149MG or A3149MG Relief Valve from Teeco, and install it in the RegO MultiPort. We provide a quote based on this inspection (usually using the price for a new one less our cost or the usable equipment from the old dispenser). 2. Return the repairable relief valve to Teeco for a Recertification Allowance. 3. After the quote is approved, we dismantle the old unit, rebuild, refurbish and re-paint as needed. 4. After leak testing, the unit goes to the Calibration Rack. At this time, the unit is either ‘Proved’ and sealed or repaired. RegO will completely disassemble the relief valve, replace the springs, seat disc, retainer screw and washer and adjusting screw. All metal parts will be wire brushed, bright dipped and cleaned to remove paint, rust and mill scale, and the parts restored to bright metal condition. RegO will reassemble, retest, date stamp the valve and provide a remanufactured assembly meeting all codes under the original construction and carrying the same warranty as a new relief valve.
