An opportunity to own a piece of ballooning history
G-REAR is the second Sloggi racer built from the crown ring down from the first Sloggi balloon retaining
the registration G-REAR.
The Balloon was built in 2006 and is a Lindstrand 69X complete with internal baffle ring. It remains the
only fully digitally printed racer in the world - the subsequent Sloggi racer was only two thirds printed. It
has 137.20 hours and all of these are from advertising work or fun flying, most recently in Italy where the
envelope is currently based.
The fabric is in exceptionally good order with no porosity and was recently inspected with inspection running through until September 2013. With no competition flying, the temperature labels of the balloon are
very low, the balloon has never been flown with more than pilot plus one.
There will be some restrictions on the sale to include geographical location which will preclude flying in
the UK.

The envelope has no RDS or rotation vents but does come with a lot of history and can be freighted anywhere in the world.
With regards to cost, we are open to initial offers but please note that this is no ordinary racer so if your
offer is based on a regular envelope then it will most likely not be accepted. The balloon was in the order
of £50,000 when new and a replacement today would still be well in excess of £30,000 with this artwork.
