THE ONLY SPECIALISED FASTENER EXHIBITION IN RUSSIA
The 9th international Fasttec exhibition took place on 15-17 March in EcoCentre Sokolniki,
Moscow. Fasttec 2011 once again brought together thousands of market participants, and
professionals and leaders from the fastener industry of other countries and Russia’s regions,
confirming the status of this international event. It is at the exhibition that industry trends are
set and new fastener products demonstrated.
The exhibition was supported by the RosMetiz Metalware Sellers and Producers’ Association.
This proves the importance of the exhibition for industry professionals.
The exhibition presented 92 companies from 7 countries: Russia, Italy, Germany, Belarus,
Ukraine, China and Taiwan. Many companies exhibit every year, such as: Druzhkovka Hardware
Plant, Rechitsa Metizny Plant, the Likhachev Plant (AMO ZIL), Bolt.Ru, Mashkrepezh and other
industry leaders.
The general sponsor of Fasttec-2011 was Bolt.Ru, a major fastener supplier in Russia with 19
years’ experience in the market.
This year, the exhibition was held in the new pavilion 4.1, which was built using the latest
engineering developments.

The official opening ceremony took place on 15 March 2011.
It was attended by representatives of leading companies from the fastener industry,
government bodies, industry associations, and well-known trade media.

Fasttec 2011 provided a platform for the presentation of many new products and launch of
new brands.
Particularly in demand was the lifting and rigging equipment of Rusconnect. It is used by
construction and timber companies, which order it from abroad.
At the stand of NPP Saturn, visitors were able to see anaerobic
gasket, impregnating compositions for sealing micro-porosity
and insulating varnishes with protection against shorting and
corrosion.
Boltmarket offered a wide range of furniture fasteners,
high strength fasteners, rustproof fasteners, brass
fasteners, and fixtures for yachts. Polyamide fasteners
deserve special attention: in some areas they are used as
rustproof fasteners, such as alkaline environments and in
seawater. This year, the company began working with
Ruko GmbH (tools, drills). Boltmarket presented a new
development to the Russian market: a spring washer from
a German manufacturer.

Among the new exhibitors was Normand Fasteners, which
presented a new line of rivets and press washers (colours RR,
RAL).
New equipment for packaging fasteners was exhibited by IMANPACK (Italy):
- Semi-automatic lines (economical options)
- A line for vacuum packing electrodes in carton and tape
- A line for counting different parts in the completion of sets.
Only at Fasttec were visitors able to purchase the products of Italy’s Specialinsert, the exclusive
distributor of which is Faberfix. According to company representatives, the visitors were
particularly interested in new products, such as RUBBER NUT rivets for glass, SALD-STUD weld
fasteners, and NYLON-NUT anti-vibration fasteners.

Makswel Group: nails, dowels, electrodes, wires,
abrasives, screws, anchors and more. The most

VISITORS
A feature of the exhibition is that it serves as a platform for business contacts, primarily for
fastener industry professionals. 24.6% of trade visitors to Fasttec are company directors
directly responsible for business decisions.
Over the three days, more than 4,000 people visited pavilion 4.1, where Fasttec was held. The
peak of attendance was on the second day: 48.3% of all visitors came to Fasttec on 16 March.
59.6% of visitors were representatives of wholesale businesses engaged in the import, export
and distribution of fasteners.
36.6% were representatives of fastener manufacturers.
93.4% were representatives of Russian companies.
6.6% of visitors were from abroad (10 countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Kazakhstan,
Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Sweden).
60.6% of visitors came from Moscow, and 39.4% from other regions.
