I° Show Regionale PSA

I
l I° show Regional P.S.A. “Purosangue Arabo” della
città di Salerno si è svolto il 4/5/6 giugno 2010 presso il Parco del Mercatello di Salerno.
L’iniziativa è stata organizzata dall’Associazione “L’Arabite” il cui Presidente, Claudio Mazza è stato preposto
all’accoglienza e alla gestione dei rapporti con gli allevatori dei cavalli e dei giudici di gara, mentre il fratello
Filippo ha reso possibile il regolare svolgimento della
manifestazione, addetto alla supervisione degli aspetti
tecnici del campo gara, stands e box dei cavalli.
Essenziale e risolutiva la collaborazione del Cav. Massimo Pellegrino, Agente Finanziario del Gruppo Deutsche
Bank – divisione Prestitempo per Salerno e la Basilicata,
che ha contribuito alla ricerca e assistenza degli sponsor
dell’evento, ha gestito le relazioni con tutte le Istituzioni, Associazioni ed Enti presenti, ha curato inoltre i
rapporti con le varie testate giornalistiche ed emittenti
radio-televisive intervenute.
La manifestazione è stata patrocinata dal Comune e dalla
Provincia di Salerno, dalla Regione Campania, dall’Ente
Provinciale per il Turismo di Salerno, da Confindustria,
dalla Camera di Commercio di Salerno e dall’ANCE
(Associazione Nazionale Costruttori Edili).
Sono intervenuti il Consigliere Comunale Dott. Alfonso Buonaiuto e l’Assessore Comunale Dott. Franco Picarone in rappresentanza del Sindaco di Salerno
Vincenzo De Luca, il Presidente Nazionale della LILT
(Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori) Dott.
Giuseppe Pistolese e l’Associazione dei Consumatori
ADOC (Associazione per la Difesa ed Orientamento
dei Consumatori) con la presenza del Presidente Dott.
Raffaele Sepe.
L’evento ha visto la partecipazione di un notevole afflusso di pubblico esaltando in tal modo i numerosi sponsor
T
he 1st Regional PBA Show “Purosangue Arabo” was
held on June 4/5/6, 2010 at the Mercatello Park in Salerno.
The initiative was organized by the “L’Arabite” Association,
whose Chairman Claudio Mazza was responsible for the reception services and for maintaining the relationship with breeders
and judges. His brother Filippo ensured that everything ran
without glitches and supervised the technical side of the ring,
the stands and the loose boxes for the horses.
Essential and decisive was the role of Massimo Pellegrino, Finance Agent for the Deutsche Bank Group – Prestitempo division for Salerno and Basilicata, who contributed to the search
and support of the event sponsors, managed the relationship
with all the institutions, associations and bodies attending, and
also looked after the relationship with the various newspapers
and radio/TV stations taking part.
The event was promoted by the Municipality and the Provincial Council of Salerno, by the Campania Region, the Salerno
Provincial Tourist Office, Confindustria, the Salerno Chamber
of Commerce and the National Association of Constructors.
Attending also the event were: the Municipal Council Member Alfonso Buonaiuto and Council Officer Franco Picarone
– representing the Mayor of Salerno Vincenzo De Luca, the
National Chairman of LILT (the Italian Cancer Research Association) Giuseppe Pistolese and the Chairman of the Italian
Consumers Association ADOC Raffaele Sepe.

Antonietta Salzano, Presidente dei Lions Club Salerno
e dell’Avv. Walter Renzulli, legale fiduciario dell’Associazione “L’Arabite” ed artista di spessore, attivo nell’organizzazione dell’evento. Abbiamo voluto nominare,
nonché ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno dato vita ad
uno show degno del Purosangue Arabo, animale regale e prezioso per tutto l’allevamento ippico italiano.
A giudicare sono stati invitati: la Sig.ra Irina Stigler, il
Sig. Cristian Moschini e il Sig. Franco Grotteria. Ring
Master il Sig. Marco Frezza. La vet. Sig.ra Laura Mascagna è stata la responsabile dei punteggi al computer
e speacher della manifestazione, accattivante e coinvolgente come sempre le musiche di Luisa Bonomi. Il
venerdi pomeriggio, dopo la scuderizzazione dei cavalli,
si è inaugurato lo show con uno spettacolo degli sbandieratori di Cava de Tireni e uno spettacolo equestre di
Bartolo Messina e del suo staff. Sabato mattina sotto un
caldo sole del sud, sono cominciate le categorie. I primi
a fare l’ingresso nel nuovo ring salernitano sono i Puledri di 1 anno. Vince questa categoria “SABER” (Ansata
Shaamis X Hadiba) di proprietà di Marinella Abbagnale. Secondo “SHIDRAN BY ASHIRAF” (Amir Ashiraf X Rose Mary L) di Angelo La Rocca. La seconda
categoria puledri è vinta da “GAZAL BY MASSAI”
(Massai Ibn Marenga X Kischara) di Fontanella Magic
Arabians. Riserva “CC EVANS” (Nevan X Pp Ester)

The event attracted a large crowd, which maximized the visibility of the numerous sponsors. Worth mentioning are Caffè
Motta, an international brand, Antonio Cesareo, Ferrari cars
dealer for Salerno, Editalia (Italian State Institute of Printing
and Minting), Business Center RentOffice, 3 Store (Franchisee) run by Claudio Mazza and Pastificio Antonio Amato, official sponsor of the Italian National Football Team.
Other personalities attending the event were Gaetano Pellegrino, Radiologist specialist in senology, Erminio Ventura,
Director of the S. Giovanni di Dio and Ruggi d’Aragona
Local Health Authority, Erminio Rinaldi, Deputy Public
Prosecutor at the Salerno Public Prosecution Office together
with his wife Sonia Matarazzo, Investigating Penal Magistrate at the Avellino Court.
Finally, we would like to mention also the speeches made by
Fernando De Angelis, Commissioner of the Salerno Local Health Authority with his wife Antonietta Salzano, President of
the Salerno Lions Club and Walter Renzulli, fiduciary lawyer
of the “L’Arabite” Association and an artist of a high stature,
actively involved in the organization of the show. We wanted
to name as well as thank all those who collaborated to create
a show worthy of the Purebred Arabian, a regal animal that
is very precious for Italian horse breeding. The judges invited to score the horses were Mrs. Irina Stigler, Mr. Cristian
Moschini and Mr. Franco Grotteria. Ring Master was Mr.
Marco Frezza. The Veterinarian Laura Mascagna was responsible for inputting the scores on the system and presented
also the event. Captivating and involving as usual were the
music played by Luisa Bonomi. On Friday afternoon, after the
horses were allocated their stables, the show was inaugurated
with the performance of the flag-wavers from Cava dei Tirreni
and an equestrian show by Bartolo Messina and his staff. The
categories started on Saturday morning, under the unforgiving
sun of Southern Italy. First to enter the new Salerno ring were
the yearling colts. The winner was “SABER” (Ansata Shaamis
X Hadiba) owned by Marinella Abbagnale. Second place for
“SHIDRAN BY ASHIRAF” (Amir Ashiraf X Rose Mary L)
owned by Angelo La Rocca. The second colt category was won
by “GAZAL BY MASSAI” (Massai Ibn Marenga X Kischara)
owned by Fontanella Magic Arabians. “CC EVANS” (Nevan X
Pp Ester) owned by Sasha Martinelli was named Reserve. The
last colt category, those aged three, involved only one competitor,
“GANDALF” (Sdp Taylor X Irina El Gaug) owned by Marco
Franchini, which automatically qualified for the final championship. Among yearling fillies, the winner was “CHALIDA”
(Muhajjal X Bella Di Limestre) owned by Mauro Ranieri.
The Reserve was “NIRVANA BY ASHIRAF” (Amir Ashiraf
X Kenja) owned by Andra Gorni. The category of 2-year-old
fillies was won by “MARASCI” (Amir Al Tiglio X Marlene
Al Tiglio) owned by Mauro Ranieri, while the runner-up was
“RACHEL BY MAHROUSSA” (Vervaldee X Armahroussa)
owned by Sacconi Arabian Stud Le Quercette. “BARBARELLA CHANDRA” (Im Icare Cathare X Grisenda Chandra)
owned by Gloria Gatti of the Montecucco stud won the category of 3-year-old fillies. “PAS DEA STAR” (Fs Bengali X Na
Sanaria) owned by Sacconi Arabian Stud Le Quercette was
named Reserve. The mare categories from 4 to 8 were grouped

Accorpata la categoria fattrici dai 4 sino agli 8 anni, vince “SAJIDA” (Wh Justice X Guendalina) di Giacomo
Boscarino. Accede al campionato la seconda “MAGIC
CLEOPATRA” (Windspress Mirage X Magic Jamilla) di Fontanella Magic Arabians. Per le fattrici oltre
i 9 anni vince la categoria “SHANA BINT SHAIL”
(Maysoun X Shahila) di proprietà dell’az. Agr. Antonio De Vito, sua riserva “VP SHYENCHANTRENT”
(Gazgan X Makbet) di Arab El Mafrak, storico allevamento di Michele Piazzolla. Anche la categoria stalloni
viene accorpata e la vince “GHS MONTEGO BAY”
(Psytadel X Hs Kiova) di Giacomo Boscarino. Secondo posto per “BORSALINO J” (Borsalino K X Hafati
Mayfair) dell’allevamento VD Arabians di Cono Tropiano. Peccato per l’allevatore Massimiliano Rocchino
che vede il suo stallone “SL AL MONIR” al debutto,
penalizzato dalla giuria, nel movimento e negli arti per
una caduta fatta nel pre ring al momento dell’ingresso in campo. Grande fair play da parte del proprietario
che accetta comunque il giudizio sul cavallo. L’ultima
cartegoria stalloni vecchi, viene vinta da “MAGIC FARUK” (Bj Thee Mustafa X Carhaa) di Sacconi Arabian
Stud Le Quercette. La domenica si svolge il campionato finale: Gold medal per i puledri è “SABER” Silver “GANDALF” e Bronze “GAZAL BY MARENGA”. Gold medal per le puledre è “BARBARELLA
CHANDRA”, Silver “CHALIDA” e bronze “MARASCI”. Campionessa fattrici “SAJIDA” sua riserva
silver medal è “SHANA BINT SHAIL”, bronze medal “VP SHYENCHANTRENT”. Campione stalloni
gold medal è “GHS MONTEGO BAY”, sua riserva è
“BORSALINO J”. Bronze medal “MAGIC FARUK”.
Per i futurity femmine “LUSJBEL” (psequel X Esotica)
di Antonino Sunna è campionessa. Per i maschi il campione è: “LAS LEGAS STAR” (Aja Santana X Magic
Ambra) di Arabian Stars.
Un ulteriore ringraziamento vogliamo farlo anche al
dott, Roberto Schiavone, presidente dell’UMANITAS.
Oltre ad offerto l’assistenza medica della manifestazione, ha regalato il premio BEST in SHOW, dedicato al
figlio Pierluigi, vinto da “SAJIDA”. q

Michele Piazzolla. Also the stallion category was grouped together and the winner was “GHS MONTEGO BAY” (Psytadel
X Hs Kiova) owned by Giacomo Boscarino. Second place for
“BORSALINO J” (Borsalino K X Hafati Mayfair) owned by
VD Arabians of Cono Tropiano. What a pity for Massimiliano
Rocchino whose stallion “SL AL MONIR”, on his debut, was
penalized by the judges in movement and legs due to a fall in
the pre-ring. The owner showed a great deal of fair play and
accepted the score given to his horse. The last category, reserved for old stallions, was won by “MAGIC FARUK” (Bj Thee
Mustafa X Carhaa) owned by Sacconi Arabian Stud Le Quercette. The Final Championship was held on Sunday. Gold medal for colts was “SABER”, Silver “GANDALF” and Bronze
“GAZAL BY MARENGA”. The Gold medal for fillies was
awarded to “BARBARELLA CHANDRA”, Silver to “CHALIDA” and Bronze to “MARASCI”. Champion Mare was
“SAJIDA”, while her Reserve and Silver Medal was “SHANA
BINT SHAIL”. “VP SHYENCHANTRENT” won the Bronze. Champion Stallion and Gold Medal was “GHS MONTEGO BAY”, “BORSALINO J” was his Reserve. Bronze medal
to “MAGIC FARUK”. Among female futurities, “LUSJBEL”
(Psequel X Esotica) owned by Antonino Sunna was the Champion. The male Futurity Champion was “LAS LEGAS STAR”
(Aja Santana X Magic Ambra) owned by Arabian Stars.
We would also like to thank Roberto Schiavone, Chairman of
UMANITAS. Apart from providing medical assistance during
the show, he also offered the BEST in SHOW prize, dedicated
to his son Pierluigi, which was won by “SAJIDA”. q
