It has certainly been a busy year for all of us,
working around the Marie Claire brand, and
many of you have been questioning the team
about the publishing of the next Newsletter...
So, here it is !

2014 will be remembered as a year of re-organization at Marie Claire Paris. First of all,
due to the departure of Odile Charbonneau
for retirement after 30 years in the Group, followed by the new assignments to Tomomi, Ying and
Stéphanie. Second of all, because of our decision to conduct an audit on the brand, that will enable us
to explore, from 2015, new organizations and new territories with better efficiency. We are constantly
looking at ways to improve our business together and we thank you for your continuous support.

In the meantime, we are celebrating another positive year with our licensees world-wide and are
proud to share some of the latest achievements from our partners in China, Japan, Korea and Australia. Please enjoy the Marie Claire family!
Licensee focus
YILIJIA
Marie Claire Leather goods licensee in China
YILIJIA (previously named YBON) has been Marie Claire Chinese exclusive licensee for ladies’ leather
goods.
In 2012, and with a continuous development since 2009, YILIJIA entered into a strategic cooperation
with the famous Chinese leather company Dilaks, and moved from Guangzhou to Shanghai, to benefit
from enlarged manufacturing capacities.
Today, the company owns modern production structures in Shanghai Songjiang industrial park, covering more than 8 000 square meters, with a research & development centre, a production unit and new
sales resources. (50 people working for Marie Claire in total).
YILIJIA recently celebrated the opening of their newly designed Show Room entirely dedicated to
Marie Claire collections. An inspiring space to showcase Marie Claire leather bags and wallets, as you
can see in the pictures.
The Marie Claire leather goods ranges include women’s handbags, small leather goods & accessories, as well as soft luggage. The next Fall/Winter 2014/15 collection presents colourful bags in modern
shapes. At present, the products are being distributed through first-tier and second-tier cities in China,
mainly Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Dalian etc. For Marie Claire products distribution, YILIJIA
selected high prestige department stores such as Paris Spring, Century Ginwa, Wangfujing, New Mat
Shopping Plaza etc.

Tableware Eco Line

We are pleased to introduce the Marie Claire Paris “NATURE” line by TAMAHASHI or when Marie Claire
licensing becomes eco friendly.
TAMAHASHI has been our licensing partner for tableware and cookware in Japan since 1995. For the
season Fall/Winter 2014/15, the company decided to launch a series of tableware named “Nature”,
made in “bio-plastic” using “bamboo” ​​as a main raw material.
Bamboo is known as being eco-friendly in many ways: naturally growing fast, good to the air, helping
soil erosion, ect…It is one of today’s most environmentally responsible material.
This Marie Claire Paris “NATURE” tableware line, while being bio-degradable, remains functional and
stylish: elegant design, soft shapes, nice signature. A successful and innovating green range for Marie
Claire brand.

Marie Claire Tableware X’mas collection

We are pleased to feature the X’mas tableware collection from our Marie Claire Australian licensee Paycorp. Inspired from the style of Provençal region (France), the whole range includes ceramic bakeware, ceramic serving ware, cheese knives, boards and accessories, all items in a coordinated and inspirational look. For Xmas, Marie Claire customers will
have the pleasure to decorate their homes with a lovely glassware range in metallic silver.
Playcorp has been Marie Claire Australian licensee for home and kitchen ranges since
2006, first licensee to develop a complete coordinated home concept. Now concentrating on tableware, products are displayed in more than 150 stores across the country.

The FW 1516 season is focused on diversity, openness, mixing.
It adds enthusiastically effects of materials and fibers to multiply the impact of fabrics.
The general range of the show cultivates sophisticated pigmentations, explores the contrasts and works in
multiple viewing angles. A palette that combines a large majority of half faded shades of yellow and bright
sands, dark shades are reduced to burgundy essentials, dark brown and grey blue.
Weaves and prints are simplified in the manner of paper cutouts, geometric-inspired collages. Few flowers
and foliage are punched.
Shaded dyed yarns checks, window or country style checks are ubiquitous, their contrasts are mitigated by
brushed and emerised finishings.

CONCRETE POETRY / Highlight sobriety and focus on the small details. Prefer flecked fabric, the
stranded, the tweedy, fiber with character. Favor
melted and faded patterns.
LIQUOR CLUB / Imagine an Italian dandy in the
English countryside. Emphasize on “Prince de
Galles” and checks in general. Refresh tradition
and classical motifs.
ART FAIR / Focus on blocks colors and maxi
stripes for a very graphic effect. Explore contemporary art. Wake essentials by geometric patterns.

We are pleased to announce the results of the second Marie Claire Clover Awards that took place in Japan
last May. The ceremony was held in Tokyo, at the Academy Hills Roppongi, to reward the selected licensees.
Most Marie Claire Japanese licensees gathered for this occasion, and a clover shaped trophy was remitted
to each category winner. Congratulations !

has just celebrated its second year anniversary, with a
confirmed circulation of 500 000 copies/month. More
