International MultIhull Boat Show - PRESENTATION–
The concept of « Les Salons du Multicoque » was born in 2009; it seemed indeed interesting to present
the catamarans and trimarans in water, and to avoid this way, the important logistic fees related to indoor
exhibitions, and to devote an exclusive event only for multihulls.
The philosophy is, from the very beginning, to keep on listening to the exhibitors, and to supply them an
event which meets their expectations and needs.
The boat show presents the catamarans and trimarans, sailing and power, in the wet dock, and propose
the multihull sailors, a global showcase, as complete as possible, of the leisure multihull industry. The
visitors will also find the exhibitors’ village ashore, with all equipment and services relating to this industry.

INTERNAT IONAL MULTIHULL MARKET
The multihull market represents nearly 1,000 boats manufactured per year in the whole world, 80% sailing
and 20% power; although power multihulls are 30% of the turnover.
Worldwide turnover = about Euros 400 million.
In the context of a still tense boating market, the multihull market keeps on growing.
France is the biggest producer, with the largest shipyards: LAGOON (BENETEAU Group), FOUNTAINEPAJOT, NAUTITECH, CATANA, OUTREMER, PRIVILEGE MARINE…
South Africa comes second, with shipyard Robertson & Cain, number 1, which manufactures the brand
LEOPARD, for TUI Marine ; this country concentrates also numerous smaller multihull shipyards, such as
TAG YACHTS, KNYSNA YACHTS, ROYAL CAPE… etc.
The average cost for a cruising catamaran is between Euros 400,000 and 500,000 (Euros 200,000 entry
price)
The multihull concept is simple and attractive: it offers an interesting living space, and an incomparable
brightness inside and big volumes, besides the stability brought by the two hulls while sailing, no heeling,
it makes a boat “easy to live” for all passengers.
Multihulls are especially adapted to cruises, and then to the charter market, which represents 30% to 50%
of the sales, according to the builders.
We can note the last few years the progress of power catamarans, which responds to the request of
novice navigation customers, and/or not familiar with sailing; this concerns in particular the emerging
markets.
Then, the largest shipyards offer a power range:
FOUNTAINE-PAJOT, has had a complete power range for many years,
LEOPARD CATAMARANS;
CNB-LAGOON, is back this year on the power market with 630 MY and 40 MY;
PRIVILEGE MARINE, has the Furio 6;
NAUTITECH, announce the new Power Cat 40;
FLASH CATAMARANS, FlashCat 44 and 47;
And also new brands are emerging such as JAGUAR CATAMARANS.

6th EDITION
The International Multihull Boat Show is a unique event in the world, dedicated to multihulls. The
marina of La Grande Motte (France), in the heart of the Mediterranean, will host the 6th edition from
15th to 19th Avril 2015.
This boat show, afloat has become over the years The unmissable Rendez-Vous for the multihull
industry. The builders invite their customers and clients met during autumn and winter on the indoor boat
shows: Paris, London, Düsseldorf… etc. All actors of this growing market are faithful to the boat show:
CATANA, CNB-LAGOON (BENETEAU Group), FLASH CATAMARANS, FOUNTAINE-PAJOT, LEOPARD
CATAMARANS, NAUTITECH CATAMARANS (BAVARIA Group), NEEL TRIMARANS, OUTREMER YACHTING,
PRIVILEGE MARINE, SWISS CATAMARAN CONCEPT… France is leader on the multihull market, South
Africa comes second.
Exhibitors and visitors come from all parts of the world, from Russia to China, through the Caribbean,
Brasil or Middle-East, and give international legitimacy to the event. The boat show has received more
than 48% of foreign visitors among the 15,000 who came in 2014.
This new edition continues of course the principles that have made the success of the show, featuring all
the latest catamarans and trimarans of the builders, both sailing and power; so visitors, multihull
enthusiasts and others, will discover a global showcase “100% multihulls”.
Faithfull as well, the naval architects and designers, customs shipyards, designers of the future boats, find
in the « Multihull Club Design », a space for expression and meetings, this year:

A village for charter companies, « Multihull Charter », put together the whole charter industry; they offer
far destinations, to sail a few days or a few weeks, on the cruising catamaran of their dreams.
On the harbour master side, the crewed chartered boats, with CHANNEL YACHT and a LAGOON 570.
At the South end of Pontoon P, visit the TRIMARANS village, and the boats available for sea trials.
To complete the offer, all the actors of the multihull industry will meet on the esplanade of the marina:

AVENTURA 33 Evo², lighter, with a modified
design, an interior more modern.
And AVENTURA 43 version carbon mast and

The boats will be available for sea trials.
C A T A N A G R O U P - B A L I 4.3 – WORLD PREMIERE!!!
CATANA Group launched its new brand BALI
CATAMARANS at the Multihull Boat show in April
2014.
Since then, the first boat of the range, the BALI 4.5
was presented at the fall boat shows, and the new
one, BALI 4.3 will be in the water at the Multihull Boat
Show.
BALI 4.5 will also be available for the visits, as well as
2 or 3 boats of the CATANA range.
C O M A R Y A C H T S - C O M E T C A T 3 7 - WORLD PREMIERE!!!
Comar Yachts, is a historical sailing monohulls
shipyard, in Italy. They have launched this spring
the COMET CAT 37, designed by Marc Lombard.
COMET CAT 37 is displayed in La Grande Motte
and presented in World Premiere… the shipyard
is already working on a 50 feet!

Leopard 40, first presentation in Europe as well,
after Miami in February.
Please note that the interior design has been
changed for this new season.

NAUTITECH YACHTS-BAVARIA CATAMARANS
NAUTITECH/ BAVARIA will be there with NAUTITECH
OPEN 40, launched last year at the Multihull Show, as
well as NAUTITECH 541 and 542.
This will also be an occasion to discover the drawings of
the power catamaran: POWER CAT 40.
NEEL TRIMARANS
The first NEEL 65 should be ready in Avril 2015, but
unfortunately not on time to be sailed to La Grande
Motte! The shipyard from La Rochelle, France, is
coming with NEEL 45, a performing trimaran,
designed for fast cruising, who offers real sensations
while sailing, with all the multihulls comfort aboard.
OUTREMER YACHTING
OUTREMER builds its catamarans in La Grande
Motte, really close to the show! They will feel at
home for sure, and will be there with: The new
Outremer 45, and Outremer 51, also available for
sea trials.

O Y A C H T S - C L A S S 4 – NEW
CLASS 4 is the first catamaran built under brand
name O-Yachts.
The shipyard, based in Latvia, offers « semi-custom »
catamarans, to fit future owners’ desires.
