named ‘Genesis’ because they truly are a new beginning for synthetic saddles.
We have used all our knowledge and experience from the traditional leather saddle

This range of synthetic saddles draws upon all the tradtional leather
saddle making skills and techniques, whilst using modern, long-lasting
synthetic materials to produce a range of superior quality synthetic
saddles, which look every bit as impressive as their leather counterparts.
With the added benefit of the ‘Multi-fit’ gullet system, the GFS Genesis
saddle width fittings are easy to alter, so when your horse changes
shape simply buy a new sized gullet. Exact measurements can be
taken using a Genesis Gullet Measuring Gauge that enables you to

Everyone knows that for a piece of equipment to work
effectively it needs to fit. No matter what your shape and size
your saddle needs to fit and work for you and your horse...
At GFS we have designed a range of all purpose saddles
for the petite adult rider typically 5’3” tall and under.
There is no longer a need to struggle with a saddle that is
too big, or squeeze ones self into a pony saddle.
Sizematters...
Finding a suitable saddle to accommodate your size isn’t always easy…
GFS have a specialist range of saddles designed to cater for
teenagers and small adult riders. The precedent for the
petite range was set with the development of the
Tweenager. The Tweenager addresses the fact that typically
teenagers have a relatively long hip to knee measurement,
yet their body shape is very slim and unlike a full adult.
The problem with finding the ideal saddle, therefore, is that
the flap size needed to accommodate the longer femur is
found on an adult sized saddle; however, such a saddle
would have an overly large seat.
Following intensive research, design and testing the GFS
Tweenager was born as the ultimate compromise: an
appropriately sized seat paired with a longer flap. Longer
legs are taken care of without the rider’s bottom being in
a seat that is far too big! The Tweenager offers the
confidence that comes with comfort and contact.

The tremendous reception we had to the Tweenager
prompted us to address other body types that traditionally
may have been neglected. As a consequence the
Elite SP was created.
Aimed at the rider who is possibly 5’3” and under, the
Elite SP is the perfect transition between a pony saddle and
adult saddle, that often has flaps that are disproportionally
too long for both horse and rider.

and if it is allowed to dry out it will eventually peel and
crack. Spending a little time cleaning and caring for
your tack will pay dividends in the future.
Cleaning and Care:
• CLEAN leather by removing dirt with a damp cloth.
• TAKE steps to replenish the lost moisture and fat content
in your leather.

• Hide foods should be used occasionally to replace lost
moisture and fat content. Always allow three
hours for hide food to soak in.
• Oil must be used sparingly as over saturation will result
in limpness.
• Waxed creams create a waxy barrier between the
leather and the atmosphere offering a layer of
protection.
