AT - LARGE DIRECTOR CANDIDATES
All eligible REALTOR® members of NSDCAR vote for one of the following candidates.
The candidate elected will fill a two (2) year term beginning January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2017.
Jan Ryan, Remax Direct
Ramona,CA
There is no better place to live than San Diego or a better career than real estate. Although extremely rewarding, a career in Real Estate can be demanding. NSDCAR provides a vital service to
all of us with support, education, CAR and government involvement.
If elected, as a new member of the board I bring 38 years of Real Estate experience including 34
years as a Broker and 6 years as Broker/Owner of Ryan Gan Real Estate and 19 years as Broker/
Owner and manager of Remax Direct. Additionally, I have 9 years experience as a Broker/Officer
with Direct Lending and started Main Street Escrow, which was a Department of Corporations
Escrow firm.
I will be new to the Board but want to get involved and give back to the Real Estate community
that has been so good to me. I am committed to make NSDCAR the premier board in San Diego
to join. With over 700 personal sales in San Diego county I understand the dedication it takes to
be a REALTOR®. My experience includes past Secretary of Ramona Rotary and past Director Ramona Real Estate Association. I am a team player and get along well with and respect other
REALTORS®.
My areas of interest are support for agents and Brokers, MLS improvement, forms changes I including the TDS and SPQ, more CAR and BRE communication and education. I am concerned
with CAR efforts to publish ethics offenders when it appears to be arbitrary. I believe we can
work together to continue to raise the publics perception of Realtors as professionals. I believe
my experience in the trenches with you all these years gives me the insight to support all the
hard working Agents and Brokers belonging to NSDCAR.
Kevin Williamson, Berkshire Hathaway HomeService
San Diego, CA
I have been a full time REALTOR® for over 13 years. During the last 6 years I have been active in
local boards and also a director for CAR. In 2009 I was asked to be one of the first
Young Professional Network (YPN) chairs. I have always enjoyed being a part of local real estate
communities. I feel that the local associations are created to support the members, and as a
board member I will make it my first priority to listen to and try to implement the request of the
local members.
As NSDCAR members we are all expected to adhere to the same rules and bylaws, as a director I
will make every effort to make sure that we zare all, as members playing on a level playing field.
SOUTH COAST DIRECTOR CANDIDATES
Carmel Valley, Del Mar Rancho Santa Fe, Encinitas, Cardiff, Leucadia, Olivenhain, Solana Beach
Vote for one of the following.
Dana Whittaker, Solutions Real Estate
Carlsbad, CA
Hi! I'm Dana Whittaker, and I would like to serve the members of NSDCAR on the Board of Directors. Currently, I am the Vice President of Growth and Development at Solutions Real Estate
in California and Arizona. I have had the honor of being a contributing part to the leadership of
some of the most successful real estate companies and teams in the country since 2000. After
an award winning residential sales career in Las Vegas, I got certified as a Business Coach to
pursue my desire to consult sales professionals to fulfill their dreams. I'm passionate about
servant leadership, personal development, team building, accountability, and technology. My
training and specialties include: attracting and hiring talent, presentation skills, relationship
building, goal setting and business planning. My husband and I realized our goal of living by the
ocean with our family, and returning to California for me, just in time for the birth of our second child four years ago. I stepped into the Vice President position at Solutions in 2013 where
we have increased agent production by 57%. I enjoy playing at the beach with my family, volunteering at my kids' schools, serving local charities and hanging out with my husband on our
quest for the best fish taco in town. I am also the founder of the Working Mama Club, a group
of women focused on supporting each other in leadership, and I plan to finish my second half
marathon in May.
I looking forward to serving our membership at a higher capacity in order to raise the bar of
professionalism, cooperation, contribution and community.
Thank you for your consideration.
CENTRAL COAST DIRECTOR CANDIDATES
Carlsbad, La Costa - Vote for one of the following.
George Hartt, HomeSmart Realty West
Carlsbad, CA
A mind is much like a parachute: open it and you have a good chance to land safely; keep it
closed and you are guaranteed to crash.
I am not your “typical” REALTOR® as my career began in Corporate America as a research
scientist and worked my way to chairman/CEO of a small business with an emphasis on team
work to solve problems. To learn my new “profession” in real estate, I volunteered to serve
on the Sandicor Advisory Committee representing Oceanside, then chaired the Coordinating
Committee for District 5, moved on to the Grievance Committee at NSDCAR and finally
have served on NSDCAR’s Board of Directors for the last two years. In addition, I have been
involved in various volunteer community affairs: fund raising for YMCA, Habitat for Humanity Builders’ Blitz project, and Brother Benno’s Foundation. As a REALTOR® my focus has been the same: Promote team work, apply due diligence, help others and solve problems.
My message:
If you care, get involved and quit complaining! Remember: to get something you never had,
you have to do something you never did.
Zack Widdes, Solutions Real Estate
Carlsbad, CA
Why am I running for a Board position with NSDCAR?
One, I like to be involved, and since being on two committees, I have learned the importance
of NSDCAR. I have learned that like many members, I really did not know the significance of
the Association or the Board. One real eye opener is the fact NSDCAR is a Non Profit; NSDCAR
exist to serve the members, and member feedback is what makes the Association grow.
Two, to spread the word if you will, of the importance and more importantly, why the Board
exists. How members, you and I benefit. NSDCAR exist to provide very useful services and information for us, the members. As a Realtor, we are our own business. We need tools, education, and information all of the things that NSDCAR provides.
Having had other businesses, I understand the value NSDCAR provides, and I want to be a part
of it. I feel qualified to serve on the board as a business person, and someone that has past
experiences serving on boards. Observing, listening, and caring, are what I bring to the table.
To be able to participate in decisions that benefit others, is the main reason I want to be on
the Board.
TRI-CITIES DIRECTOR CANDIDATES
Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos - Vote for one of the following.
Kimberly Fell, HomeSmart Realty West
Carlsbad, CA
As my term on the 2014-2015 Board as Director At-Large nears its end, I’d love to be considered for the opportunity to serve YOU, the membership for 2 more years. This time I hope to
specifically represent my peers here in the Tri-Cities District where I live & work. As a regular
attendee of the Vista/San Marcos & Oceanside Caravans, and thru other association events
I’ve loved getting to know as many of you as possible.
I’m approachable, open minded, and will strive to build cohesiveness among our members.
I’m a huge advocate to the improvement of education & technology in real estate.
On May 1st I celebrated my 4th anniversary as a Realtor and NSDCAR member. As an agent
working hard in the trenches I feel I’m very relatable, especially to my fellow agents utilizing
technology to enhance their business. In 2015 YTD thru April 30th I’ve closed 9 transactions
and have 3 currently in escrow for $7.5M in volume. What does that mean to you? I’m
working my tail off every day just like YOU are and know what WE need to improve our
business. I will be your strong voice for relevance within our association.
I’m looking forward to opportunity to once again serve our NSDCAR membership with enthusiasm!
Marie Jebavy, The Real Estate Consultants
Oceanside, CA

Escondido, CA
I am the Broker Owner of Real Estate Outlet Plus and candidate for NSDCAR’s Inland District.
I have been a Real Estate licensee since 1990 and have held my Brokers license since 2000.
I have been extremely active over the past 6 years in NSDCAR and on the local Coordinating
Committees and as a liaison at Marketing Sessions.
I currently hold a Board appointment as a Director in the Inland District. I seek election as
