three authors as part of
Lieutenant Governor’s
Libraries and Author’s
Centennial Tour on
September 22.
Dave Glaze, Gillian
Richardson, and Alison
Lohans entertained a
crowd of 35 people with
dramatic readings from
some of their books.
Children were laughing as
they made violin sounds
with Lohans as she read
her kid’s book Nathaniel’s
Violin, intrigued by
Richardson’s short story
about an antelope, and
captivated while Glaze
read from his latest novel,

Gang.
People were also given
the opportunity to ask
Dave Glaze reads from
his book The LightFingered Gang which is
set in Saskatoon in 1930’s

from a century of history when Lloydminster Public Library
plays host to author
Faye Reineberg Holt
on Tuesday, October 25 at 7pm as
part of the Alberta Writers Guild's
Write Around Alberta centennial
celebration.
Born in Alberta, Faye Reineberg Holt
loves tracking down the dramatic
stories of our prairie and Canadian
past. Her most recent book, Prairie
Twins, celebrates the centennials of
Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Giving workshop. It will be held on
Tuesday, November 8 at 7pm
If you are tired of walking the debt

Movie Madness
On Saturday, October 29 at 1:30pm
Harriet the Spy will
be playing. Harriet
is an 11-year-old
girl who spies on
everyone,
writing
the details in her
s e c re t
jo u rn a l .
W hen
Harriet’s
classmates find her notebook and
read it our loud, her life is turned
upside down. What’s Harriet to do?
Has she lost her friends forever?
And even worse, does this mean the
end of her days as a spy?

In December you can vote for which
Christmas movie you would like us
to play. The winner will be shown on
Saturday, December 17 at 1:30pm.
