The capital city is Kuala Lumpur and the administrative centre remains in Putrajaya. Malaysia now records an estimated total population of 30 million comprising multi-racial and multi-cultural citizens. Cool hideaways are found in the highlands that roll down to warm, sandy beaches and rich, humid mangroves. The country experiences tropical weather year-round. The temperature ranges from 210C to 320C. Annual rainfall varies from 2,000 mm to 2,500 mm.
