The Hotel Alyeska and Alyeska Resort feature a variety of restaurants for the assorted tastes of our guests. From romantic and intimate to live dance music,
you are bound to find what you are looking for at one of our venues. The diversity in our menu choices and the food prepared are sure to please your palate.
Our restaurant menus are created and updated for both summer and winter seasons by our Executive Chef, La Mont Caldwell. Our menus are created in
a way to take advantage of produce in season, as well as the fresh catch of seafood and wild game.
Seven Glaciers
Alaska’s only mountain-top Four Diamond restaurant, sitting 2,300 feet
above the valley floor accessed via the aerial tram. Casual fine dining
featuring award-winning gourmet cuisine and fabulous views including
the valley’s seven “hanging” glaciers and Turnagain Arm. Signature menu
selections include Alaska King Crab Cakes, Smoked Salmon Bisque and
Roasted Veal Loin all paired with exquisite wine selections. Located in the
upper tram terminal. Tram tickets are complimentary with dining.
AAA Approved Hotel Featuring Seven Glaciers,
a Four Diamond Mountain-Top Restaurant
Sakura & Sushi Bar
Located on the third floor of the hotel, Sakura features cuisine prepared
Teppan style. Watch as your chef prepares a masterful meal featuring prime
steaks, fresh seafood, and tender chicken. The adjoining Sushi Bar offers
classic sashimi and sushi created before your eyes by master craftsmen,
paired with traditional sake, Japanese beer, or green tea. Reservations are
available at Sakura from 5:30 through 9:30 pm, no reservations are taken
at the Sushi Bar.
The Pond Café
Located on the second floor of the hotel, the Pond Cafe offers a seasonal
breakfast buffet as well as a full breakfast menu. Build your own omelet,
eggs benedict, cinnamon french toast, or even just a hot cup of coffee and
a bagel. During the summer season, enjoy your breakfast out on our deck
overlooking the gardens and pond.
Glacier Express
Glacier Express sits at 2,300 feet above sea level offering panoramic
views of Turnagain Arm, the Chugach Mountain Range, and seven
“hanging” glaciers. Glacier Express is a self-service restaurant featuring
soups, salads, chili, sandwiches, wraps, and snacks. Whether you are
hiking in the sun or skiing in the snow, treat yourself to a glass of wine
or a cold, locally brewed beer.
Tramway Café
To satisfy that coffee craving, stop by the Tramway Cafe, located in the
second floor tram concourse. In addition to your favorite coffee drink, you
can pick up a bakery treat, breakfast burrito, tasty deli wrap, fresh salad, or a
slice of pizza for a meal on the go. During the summer, you can enjoy your
snacks under an umbrella on the hotel patio with a view of the surrounding
mountains and gardens.
Aurora Bar & Grill
Located on the third floor of the hotel, the Aurora Bar & Grill is the place
to enjoy a light lunch or full dinner paired with your favorite beverage,
seven days a week. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual atmosphere or
watching your favorite sports event on our 42” plasma TV’s, you’ll find a
comfortable spot in either of these connecting venues. Stop by after a great
day of Alaskan adventure for a cocktail, snack, or dinner.
The Daylodge
Located at the base of Mt. Alyeska near Chair 4, the Daylodge is a selfserve restaurant open during the ski season with lots of seating and a great
view of the action on the slopes. Stop by for a hot cup of cocoa, a grilled
hamburger & fries, or your choice of personal pan pizzas. Great for kids
of all ages.
Sitzmark Bar & Grill
Located on the boardwalk at the base of Chair’s 1 & 3, the Sitzmark Bar
& Grill offers a great selection of local and seasonal draught beer, and
your favorite bar appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. The
Sitzmark is open daily during ski season, with live entertainment every
weekend. Free shuttle available from The Hotel Alyeska.
