31st of Shahrivar, the anniversary of imposed war of Iraq-Iran, is one of the most important days in our
contemporary history. It reminds us of bravery of men who sacrificed their lives for the Islamic Revolution.
Memories of the martyrs will remain in minds of several generations. The war was imposed on Iran in 1359
(1980) by Iraq.
The imposed war began just after the victory of the Islamic revolution, when all thoughts of the government
and the nation had to be concentrated on reconstruction of destructions of the previous autarchy. So, those
who wanted to make a war took this opportunity and made all of our resources and capitals busy with an
unsought war.
Although the war and its fronts were like a university for our clever nation and brave youths, many persons
of the university were sacrificed. The imposed war had bitter happenings for our country but the results were
also numerous. Now, Iran owns honor and glory because of the attempts in those days.
Aggressive governments and the global arrogance have targeted our universities because they know that
they would defeat through the military war. So, they want to create a soft war to destroy the base of this holy
regime. Thus, the Supreme Leader says that the youths as the leaders of the soft war fronts should have an
exact plan and coherent thought. Professors, students and associations are those who can confront with the
soft war and make the country safe through exact planning.
