Littlemax –as Bedmax only a smaller flake
shaving
Bedmax – a low dust level bale made
specifically for horse bedding (not a by-product).
Large size shavings provide a deeper, more
aerated bed. Many of our customers find mixing
this product with snowflake shavings offers the
most satisfactory bed. 4-5 bales required to start
a 12’ x 12’ stable.
Snowflake Supreme Shavings – made entirely
from kiln dried softwood timber, this guarantees
a naturally warm, soft and comfortable bed
with a superb fresh odour. Rigorous quality
control checks ensure consistent quality flake
sizes to ensure that only the best woodshavings
find their way into a Supreme bale. Highly
absorbent but remain dry on top as any wet
drains away from the surface which keeps your
horse nice and dry. Advanced dust extraction
process minimises dust levels in the stable which
helps maintain peak health and fitness.
Easibed – a clean, dust free wood fibre bedding
made from 100% recycled clean white wood,
its texture and warmth provide a bed your horse
won’t want to leave. The consistency of Easibed
means it gives a supportive and free-draining
bed, allowing the wet to drain through to the
base where it is absorbed, and leaving the top
dry and comfortable for your horse. Easibed has
Organic Farmers and Growers certification, so
it can also be spread on the land as part of an
organic farming system.
Ecobed (Corrugated Cardboard) – Eco friendly
animal bedding. Easy to use, maintain and is
a warm and natural solution for your stables.
Less wastage, saves time when mucking out,
environmentally friendly. Virtually dust free, it
is proven to be successful with COPD or other
respiratory problems as well as being uniquely
made with 100% corrugated cardboard.
When finished with Ecobed you can use it as
mulch and an effective deterrent of weeds, or in
the muck heap it will decompose much quicker
than straw or shavings.
Nedz Original – Nedz Original offers horse
owners the chance to use a truly traditional
method of bedding – maintaining the cosy
feel and appearance of straw but also the
benefits that technological advances bring

- a comfortable, economical highly effective
solution to bedding requirements. Rivalling
shavings for absorbency, Nedz Original is made
from carefully selected wheat straw which has
been through a rigorous quality control process
before being chopped and treated with the
Natural Nedz formula to promote a healthy, safe
environment for your horse. Recommend 3 – 4
bales for the initial set up of a 12’ x 12’ stable.
Nedz Original works best when mucked out
fully on a daily basis with a further 1 – 1.5 bales
added to top up per week.
Nedz Pro – Made from Oil Seed Rape Straw,
Nedz Pro is a super absorbent alternative to
shavings and other bedding materials whilst
combining all the benefits of quick rotting,
easy to muck out, cosy chopped straw. Due to
its highly absorbent properties Nedz Pro only
requires a full muck out once a week, creating a
sturdy, comfortable base for your horse or pony
to bed on. On top of this the unique Natural
Nedz formula that is used in the bedding offers
a safe, natural and organic environment for your
horse that reduces ammonia levels and helps
with horses suffering from respiratory and skin
problems.
We recommend 4 – 5 bales for the initial set
up of a 12ft x 12ft stable. Nedz Pro works best
when skipped out daily and fully mucked out
once a week, with a further 1 – 1.5 bales added
to top up per week.
Megazorb – A highly absorbent horse bedding
that is manufactured from virgin wood pulp,
a by-product of the paper making industry.
Biodegradable and super absorbent, this
product will drastically reduce the time and cost
of mucking out and the size of the muck heap.
Plus it’s easy on the environment too. The wood
pulp is high temperature dried to kill any mould
or spores then dust extracted twice, making
it the ideal choice for horses with respiratory
problems.
Aubiose – a completely different type of
bedding - 100% natural, organically cultivated
hemp. The bedding works by soaking up liquids
in a small area, at the base of the bed. The
capped layer that forms over this saturated
material reduces the chance of wet bedding
being mixed in with the dry. The top layer of
the bed remains warm, soft and dry for the
horse. Aubiose contributes greatly to the
environment as it completes its own life cycle
loop naturally. Composts readily without need
for added composting agents, and is an annually
renewable resource.
Hay Bale
Straw Bale – Conventional straw bale. Clean
wheat straw, the most economical form of
bedding available. 4-5 bales required to start a
12’x12’ stable.
Verdo Wood Pellets – a heat treated wood
pellet made from 100% virgin soft timber
wood. Verdo once activated has a low dust
content, making it the ideal choice for horses
with compromised respiratory issues. Verdo
is equally a very absorbent bedding – when a
horse urinates Verdo Horse Bedding absorbs the
liquid quickly and efficiently, because of the high
absorbency rate any urine or damp remains in
a localised patch. The horses’s
urine will not run or
spread to affect a large
area of the bedding.

ince the middle of last year, our Rural Department has noticed a significant increase in the
demand for single paddocks and small blocks
of land. We have ourselves managed several sales
through to completion, including open market transaction and privately brokered deals.

Ambulance is appealing for volunteers to donate
two hours of their time to support a major
new fundraising appeal. As part of National Air
Ambulance Week (September 19-26), the charity
will be taking to the streets of Market Harborough
to give away its yellow cross badges in exchange
for donations.
So far this year, the Derbyshire, Leicestershire &
Rutland Air Ambulance has flown an average
of three missions each day. Around 17% of its
emergency calls are to sports accidents, with
equestrian falls being the most common.
The charity receives no government funding and
relies entirely on public support to keep the service
flying.
