All motor homes are not created equal
With a Winnebago Industries motor home you get important quality features that you just
won’t find anywhere else. Look for these features on many 2004 Winnebago Industries models.
The StoreMore® Slideout System allows
interior overhead cabinets and exterior storage
compartments to extend with the slideroom,
allowing easy access to storage, even with the
slideout room extended.
With TrueAir®, the air conditioning unit is
located in the basement. TrueAir uses a ceiling
ducted distribution system, providing
better
cooling and even
temperature distribution.
TrueAir offers
better air quality
by using residential style filters instead of thin
foam pads. Service is also easier due to the
accessible location of this innovative system.
The TrueAir system provides for a lower
clearance height and a more streamlined
exterior appearance.
Models with TrueAir also offer an available
electronic heat pump which can economically
heat the coach on cool days without using the
furnace.
The PowerLine® Energy Management
System monitors 110-volt electrical usage and
automatically
redistributes
power
by
cycling appliances off and
back on as
needed.
This makes it possible to operate the air conditioning and other electrical appliances at the
same time, even when using a 30 amp.
service.

The RV Radio® was designed specifically for
motor home applications. It has both a
cassette and a CD player, plus a built-in
weatherband for weather updates. There are
large control knobs and buttons and now a
remote feature for easy operation.
Winnebago Industries has relocated the frequently used panels, switches and controls to
one centralized location, called the OnePlace®
Systems Center.
This adds convenience and also cleans up
the interior design of your motor home.
The OnePlace Systems Center includes the
water pump switch, the water heater on/off and
pilot light monitor, the generator start/stop
switch and usage meter, the PowerLine Energy
Management System (if equipped), digital battery monitor (for both house and engine batteries), solar charging monitor (if equipped),
A/C and heating thermostat, and monitors for
fresh water, holding tanks and LP tanks.
The BenchMark™ Full
Comfort Dinette is a

table to quickly convert the dinette into a comfortable bed.

With Winnebago Industries
You get unmatched service and support
Each year the Recreation Vehicle Dealer
Association (RVDA) surveys its members, asking them to rate the RV manufacturers who
supply them with the RVs that they sell to buyers like you.
Dealers are asked to rate their manufacturers
in areas such as product design, product quality, parts availability, prompt service to dealer
partners, quality training in both product and
service, reasonable warranty policies, even
accessibility of top management by dealers.
Winnebago Industries is the only RV manufacturer to earn the RVDA Quality Circle Award
every year since its inception in 1996.
Winnebago Industries.
On the most recent available RVDA survey,
dealerships rated Winnebago Industries service
technician training as the best in the industry
by a wide margin—and more than 9 percentage
points higher than the next motor home manufacturer.

Quality Service Technician Training
When you need service, it takes a quality dealership and a quality manufacturer who are both
dedicated to your satisfaction.
Skilled, highly trained technicians are
required. One place dealership technicians
receive further training is at Winnebago
Industries Service Training classes offered
throughout the year at sites all across the U.S.
Whether it’s repairing a generator or a fiberglass sidewall, technicians hone their skills and
gain new skills at training provided by

When you need service, you’ll probably also
need parts. Again, Winnebago Industries and
your Winnebago Industries dealer shine.
On parts ordering, tracking and delivery,
dealers participating in the RVDA survey once
again rated Winnebago Industries as the clear
leader — almost 9 percentage points higher
than the second place motor home manufacturer.
Winnebago Industries also was the clear
leader in the industry on reasonable warranty
policies and timely warranty payment.
Since a motor home is for travel, you may
desire service when you’re away from home.
That’s where Winnebago Industries’ extensive
network of quality dealer partners across the
U.S. and Canada comes in handy.
We work with you, your local Winnebago
Industries dealer and other Winnebago
Industries dealers to provide the kind of service
you deserve after the sale. It’s an important part

Footnote Details
a The height of each model is based on the curb weight
of a typically equipped unit on the standard chassis and
is measured to the highest standard feature on the roof.
The actual height of your vehicle may vary by several
inches, depending on chassis or equipment variations.
b 2004 floorplans feature a widebody design – over 96".
In making your purchase decision, you should be aware
that some states restrict access on some or all state
roads to 96" in body width. Before making your purchase decision, you should confirm the road usage laws
in the states of interest to you.
c Your motor home’s load capacity is designated by
weight, not by volume, so you cannot necessarily use
all available space when loading your moor home.
d Not all items available in combination. See dealer for
details.
e Capacities shown are tank manufacturer’s listed water
capacity (w.c.). Actual filled L.P. capacity is 80% of listing due to overfilling prevention device on tank.
f See your dealer for complete warranty information.
See separate chassis warranty details provided in the
Owner’s Packet.
Winnebago Industries’ continuing program of product improvement makes specifications, equipment,
model availability and prices subject to change without
notice. Measurements are based on the most recent
information available. Your dealer may have updated
specifications.

A critical advantage
SuperStructure® is the term given to Winnebago Industries’ structural motor home design and construction. Rather than a single component, it
is the culmination of design integration that incorporates steel and aluminum substructures; composite design laminated floor risers; interlocking joint technology; and Thermo-Panel® floor, roof and sidewalls to form a high-strength, durable vehicle body.
Interlocking joint construction
utilizes advanced extruded aluminum structural components to
create integrated floor-to-sidewall
and sidewall-to-roof joints. This
design effectively distributes the
weight of the walls and roof, making a stronger and more durable
body than competitor designs
that rely on
screws to carry
the weight.
The sidewalls are the result of Winnebago Industries’ invention
and perfection of Thermo-Panel manufacturing. Their composite
construction combines a durable exterior panel with welded aluminum support substructures. The substructures are embedded in
a high-density block foam insulation core to create a strong,
durable, yet lightweight sidewall.
12
Laminated risers feature a welded
aluminum core for superior strength
and provide a stable base for the floor
structure and storage compartments.
Critical
steel
components are
treated using an
electro-deposition
coating process
that adds superior
corrosion protection.
The foundation substructure assembly is precision aligned to
maximize strength and cross-coach support as well as durability.

Quality is built in from start to finish
The more you know about how
Winnebago Industries motor homes are
built, the more comfortable you’ll be choosing the right one for your needs.
Here’s a look at some of the many
processes it takes to design and create a
Winnebago Industries motor home at the
world’s largest motor home manufacturing
facility.
It
takes
more
than
3,000 parts to
build each
motor home
and many of
those parts
are manufactured right
here in this
complex. Computer aided design (CAD)
ensures that each part is designed and built
to exact specifications.
our components, the better our motor
homes will be.
Here at
Winnebago
Industries
we
use
steel—not
wood—to
create
a
solid and
durable cab
structure
that’s part of our SuperStructure design.
And, of course, the safety wall that separates the engine from the cab area is also
made of steel. Some manufacturers use
wood in this critical area. The cab is
mounted to the chassis using an advanced
system which aligns the cab and floor substructure for a square foundation.
One year old
competitor’s
rubber roof
Once a part is designed on the computer,
that information is transferred to the manufacturing areas. This five-axis router
shapes a fixture needed to create a front cap
or other fiberglass component. It’s all a part
of our manufacturing philosophy: The
more control we have over the quality of
One year old
Winnebago Industries
fiberglass roof
Unlike other manufacturers who typically
use rubber roofs, the vast majority of
Winnebago*, Itasca* and Ultimate motor
homes feature a crowned, one-piece fiberglass roof with a 10-year parts and labor
roof skin warranty. Fiberglass offers superior strength, attractiveness and durability
over rubber roofs. Over time, rubber roofs
are susceptible to chalking, streaking, and
degradation, and have less puncture and
tear resistance than fiberglass.
As part of our SuperStructure construction, this superior roof is attached using an
interlocking joint design. Winnebago
Industries also developed an interlocking
joint design that distributes the weight of
the sidewall onto the metal substructure for
optimal strength. By eliminating pivot
points this unique design helps to extend
the life of the motor home.
Inspectors
continuously
examine
every Winnebago Industries motor
home throughout the manufacturing
process. Then, every motor home is subjected to a water test where it’s sprayed at a
rate equivalent to 50 inches per hour.
Before leaving our complex each
Winnebago Industries motor home must
also pass the Shipout Department’s
extremely thorough 113-point final exam.
It all adds up
All of this, and so much more, just adds
up to a better designed, better built and
carefully inspected final product for you to
enjoy year in and year out.
*Winnebago Vista and Itasca Sunstar feature low maintenance, durable aluminum exterior roof material.
