CAMP OUT
WEEK 6
CAMP OLYMPICS
It’s hard to believe we’re already here at
the Talent Show – with only 10 days of
camp left after today! It’s heartbreaking
on so many levels – I’m not looking forward to not having my daily fill of hugs
and high fives, and I think all of us (even
those of us who love school) prefer the
general rhythm of summer to that of the
school year. But I’m trying hard to stay in
the moment and to enjoy every second of
the summer. And there’s been so much to
enjoy! Seeing non-swimmers become
swimmers, friendships form and deepen,
campers discover talents or interests they
didn’t know they had, watching former
campers take on the responsibility of caring for those younger than them; it’s all
wonderful. Today is the Talent Show which
is something I always look forward to as I
get to see the campers showcase talents I
otherwise might not know they have. I love
that they’re willing to put themselves out
there and perform – it’s something I certainly wouldn’t have been able to do at their
age! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thanks as always for being with us!

This week we had a blast doing do many fun things, like swimming in the
deep end of the pool, and making ice cream pictures with shaving cream! In
sports we played soccer, and Red Rover. In Flex, we played Red Rover,
watched Magic School Bus, and made curler beads. In swimming, we worked
on swimming on our own and now we have more than half of our kids swimming by themselves in the deep end! In Art, we made many cool creations
like Splatter Paint pictures,
and ice cream pictures. Our
newest camper Evan Kearney
told us that his favorite thing
to do this week was swimming
in the deep end. Hudson Underinner told us that his favorite part of the week was
playing race cars in computers. We have many campers
preforming in the Talent
Show, and look forward to
Group 1 campers staying cool on a hot day playing

CIT Brief
Throughout our eventful week, the CITs participated in many different team-building activities
that encouraged us to work together, adapt to situations, and learn more about each other. On
Wednesday we went to Amazing Escape Rooms where we had 1 hour to escape a themed room
such as the dorm room, bank robbery, and carnival. We worked together and most of us escaped our rooms. We owe this to Julie our favorite best awesome great cool hip young supervisor. We also learned some new buzz words.

This week was great for group 7. We had a blast in swim
