CAMP OLYMPICS
What a wonderful start to the summer
we’ve had! The weather literally couldn’t
be better, but the true warmth and energy
comes from the campers and counselors. Seeing them all so excited to be back
at camp, or to have jumped right into the
fun and the routine if this is their first
summer, is as fun a thing as I can imagine! The teachers have done a great job
planning a variety of activities and there
are smiles everywhere I go on campus. In
general, I couldn’t be happier with the job
the staff has done to get the summer rolling – so a huge thank you to them! Next
week, we’ll have the annual carnival, with
the 2nd annual Wet and Wacky week happening Week 3. While I know it will fly
by all too fast, the truth is the fun has just
begun! Have a wonderful and safe holiday
weekend, and I’ll see most of you on Tuesday or later this summer!

new campers learned and loved. In swim we dove
right in and practiced all our strokes and even started
learning how to do flip turns. In flex, sports, and
option we did a multitude of fun games and activities such as basketball, kickball, four square, turtle
tag, mummy, and even made friendship bracelets. In
art we made very cool optical illusions that left all
the Counselors in aw. In science we built with Legos
and created our own Lego city stories and each
group had their own. And finally in computers, the
infamous John petito welcomed us to his room, with

CIT Brief
The CIT’s (AKA Cool Interesting Teens) had a great first week with their groups. We have
been getting to know each other and have been bonding over games in the morning. There have
been a ton of laughs and great memories already. We have learned lots of great skills, such as
teamwork, idea sharing, and trust with our awesome EMPEROR J dawg (AKA Julie). In the
afternoons we have learned to help kids and already bonded with our groups. Sometimes it can
be crazy, but we love playing with the kids. CIT’s is more than just kids begging for piggy
back rides, it’s also setting us up with the skills we need for the rest of our lives.

Group 6 hit the ground running, literally, with an awesome first week of
camp. We carefully crafted some thrifty duct tape wallets and flowers in art
class along with some fancy-shmancy quills. We mastered the art of kickball,
basketball, and friendship bracelets in Option and they’re even better than
their counselors at ten-ten-double-ten in Flex. We had a blast playing tic-tactoe relay in Sports with Jimmy, capture the rings in Swim with Britta and Riley, and jamming out to cool tunes in Computers with Petito. We had an incredible time at the Trenton Thunder game and we cannot wait to see what
adventures Week Two brings along.

This week at camp, all of Group seven was reunited for their last year as campers. On Thursday, Groups six and seven had an amazing time
at the Trenton Thunder game. We played fun
games in sports and a blast with Petito making
Musical.lys and playing games. In swim, we
stared our life-guard training and worked on
our high-dives. In art we made ink tiles and watercolor paintings. In flex, we alternated between fun games and Paul. During the week,
