Judy Collins
Sunday, May 11, 2014 | 3:00pm
Judy Collins has thrilled audiences worldwide with her unique
blend of interpretative folk songs and contemporary themes. Her
impressive career has spanned more than 50 years. In 1961, Collins
released her first album, A Maid of Constant Sorrow, at the age of
22 and began a thirty-five year association with Jac Holzman and
Elektra Records. Judy was instrumental in bringing other singersongwriters to a wider audience including poet/musician Leonard
Cohen, and musicians Joni Mitchell and Randy Newman. Now
in her early seventies, Miss Collins is still writing, performing,
and nurturing fresh talent. She plays 80–100 dates a year around
the country and continues to create music of hope and healing
that lights up the world and speaks to the heart.

Carolina Chocolate Drops
Josh Ritter
Friday, August 16, 2013 | 8:00pm
Saturday, September 28, 2013 | 8:00pm
With their 2010 Nonesuch debut, Genuine Negro Jig—
which garnered a Best Traditional Folk Album Grammy—
the Carolina Chocolate Drops proved that the old-time, fiddle
and banjo-based music they’d so scrupulously researched
and passionately performed could be a living, breathing,
ever-evolving sound. Instead of simply recreating material
culled from the Piedmont region of the Carolinas, they
have freshly interpreted it, highlighting the central role
African-Americans played in shaping our nation’s popular
music from its beginnings more than a century ago.
Idaho-born singer-songwriter Josh Ritter has been called one
of the “10 Most Exciting Artists Now” by Entertainment Weekly
and one of the “100 Best Living Songwriters” by Paste Magazine.
With startling detail, distinctive storytelling, compelling subject
matter, and astonishing musicianship, Ritter has developed
a singular voice that doesn’t defy categorization so much
as it creates its own.

“Their concerts were an end-to-end
display of excellence.”
– The New York Times
{ $39.50 • $34 • $28.50 }
“Josh Ritter has a way with metaphor. It’s one
of the literary touches in his music that have
established him among the cream of the
young singer-songwriter crop.”
