Some may wish to follow family traditions, while others may choose to change. Do what works for you. Plan to be with the people YOU enjoy. Include your spouse in your conversations. Hang a stocking for him/her or set a single rose at a place setting. Look at photographs. Once others realize that you are comfortable talking about your spouse, they are likely to join in with stories and expressions of their feelings. Do something for others in memory of your husband/wife by volunteering your time or providing assistance for those in need to make their holiday happier. Be kind to yourself and get enough rest. Remember, anticipation of a holiday or significant day is often much worse than the actual day. Have a safe and blessed holiday! Peace Be With You – Rose Patterson THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS! As we approach the end of another year and enter the busy holiday season, we want to extend a special “THANK YOU” to all who planned activities and helped on committees throughout 2015. Without our volunteers generously offering their time and talent, Widowed Friends would not be able to provide the many diverse events and activities it has throughout the year. Please know that YOU ARE TRULY APPRECIATED! We hope all of you, who have helped in any way, have the satisfaction of knowing that you have provided a place for healing and growth for your widowed friends. Thank You and God Bless You! We want to take this opportunity to welcome all the new members who have joined us for 2015 - 2016. We sincerely hope you feel comfortable & welcome at our events, Masses, seminars & activities.
