The Green Collection
The Green Collection represents a selection of small luxury

ACCOMMODATION COLLECTION
The Accommodation Collection
Accommodations in the Green Collection are known for a high standard of hosting,
comfortable and luxurious facilities, excellent locations, good food and wine and a small
“boutique” atmosphere. You get to meet the hosts, your travel arrangements and personal
requests are looked after, you are welcomed as a friend as well as a guest. You can advise
ahead particular dietary requirements, bedding arrangements, personal interests, plan for
dinner in-house on the night you arrive or request a restaurant booking in town.
Because these accommodations are small please respect their cancellation policies as
cancellations will affect them more than a large hotel operation. Bookings for dinner and
special diets should be advised in advance. Most properties have a child policy designed to
protect the tranquility of other guests. Do check facilities and policies before booking large
or family groups.

Humpridge Track
A 2 night/3 day 37 km trek along the
magnificent Hollyford Valley (near Milford
Sound) to the sea at remote Martin’s Bay,
arriving with time to explore this beautiful
coast. The rainforest is dense, the guiding
is superb and the private accommodation
very comfortable. After a night at Martin’s
Bay Lodge you fly out to Milford Sound and
“civilisation”. Transport options available from
either Te Anau or Queenstown.
Hike along the southern Fiordland coast, up to
the sub-alpine zone of the Humpridge, then down
over historic viaducts across forested ravines
to a beautiful shoreline frequented by dolphins.
Helicopter options available to lift packs and take
hikers to Okaka Lodge or into/out of Port Craig.
A trully remote hike which will reward you
with some of the best forest and birdlife in the
country. Dr David Bellamy described the Waitutu
forest as “probably the most important forest in

three is 8.5kms/5.3mls traveling through ancient
totara forest. The environment is renowned for its
geology and diverse array of flora and fauna and
there are lots of opportunities for wildflower and
native plant discovery, viewing native birds and
spectacular scenery. This is a nature lovers paradise

The Seaward
Kaikoura
mountain
range is home to
the endemic and endangered Hutton’s shearwater, the
only seabird in NZ to nest in mountains . This rare
bird which has only two wild breeding colonies left,
one in Shearwater Stream in the Puhi Peaks reserve,
feeds at sea during the day and returns to nest in the
subalpine at 6,000ft/1500m at dusk. See Albatross
