There is no comparison. There is no competition. Every word is for
the good of the human society. Every word, each and every word.
Therefore we stress so much in the book distribution. Somehow or
other, if the book goes in one hand, he will be benefited. At least he
will see, "Oh, they have taken so much price. Let me see what is there."
If he reads one sloka, his life will be successful. If one sloka, one
word. This is such nice things. Therefore we are stressing so much,
"Please distribute book, distribute book, distribute book." A greater
mrdanga. We are chanting, playing our mrdanga. It is heard within
this room or little more. But this mrdanga will go home to home,
country to country, community to community, this mrdanga.

Festivals at ISKCON Kolkata during The Holiest Month...
During the whole Kartik, every evening, beautiful Sri Sri
Damodarastakam, as spoken by Satyavrata Muni, was sung
and then everybody present in the temple was given the
opportunity to offer a lamp to Lord Damodara and Yasoda.
Spiritually enlivening kirtans surcharged the
environment throughout the evening.

The festival inaugurated by
Lord Krishna Himself,
Govardhana Puja was
celebrated at ISKCON Kolkata
on 12th November. A replica of
the Govardhana Hill was
recreated in the temple hall
and Sri Giriraj was placed in
front. HG Navayogendra prabhu
and
HG Palaka Parthasarthi prabhu gave
classes describing the beautiful pastime of the Lord. More
than 150 different types of prasdam, bought by various
devotees, was offered to Sri Giriraj. After maha-arti,
everybody relished the prasadam and said “aniyor”.
Srila PrabhupadaDisappearance Day
On 15th November, disappearance day of Srila
Prabhupada was celebrated with great reverence and
solemn. His personal room in the temple hall was
beautifully decorated with flowers and lamps. At 7:25 PM,
the time when Srila Prabhupada left this mortal world, the
“Je anilo prema-dhana” prayers were sung in his room and all
the devotees offered lamps of gratitude to him in his
room.

Krishna prabhu, went for an 11 days spiritually enlivening
yatra from 20th October to 1st November. The devotees
visited various holy places like Kurukshetra, Haridwar and
Vrindavana. They were also blessed with the wonderful
association of senior devotees like HH Bhakti Dheer Damodar
Swami Maharaj & HG Sankarshan Nitai prabhu.
21st PrernaFestival of Inspiration
Overcoming Boredom
On 1st November, HG Dauji Kripa prabhu
addressed around 150 students on the
topic “Overcoming Boredom.” The
program consisted of drama, dancing
kirtan and lecture. Most of the attendees
were from prestigious colleges in and
around Kolkata like IIEST, RGKAR Medical College, Techno India, HIT Jadavpur, J C Poddar, etc.
Well Wisher Forum held Divya Disha Program
With the objective of offering devotional solutions to social problems,
Well Wishers Forum of ISKCON Kolkata organized the 2nd Divya Disha
program on 22nd November in Kalakunj. The hall was packed with around
400 well-wishers. The topic for the evening was "Parvarish". The
highlight of the program was an insightful panel discussion on "Healthy
Parenting" among three distinguished panelists: Dr. Sudhendu
Chakrobarty (a well known Pediatrician), Prof. Gautam Paul (Scientist)
and Mr. Nikhil Nemalikonda (Director of Partha Educational Institutes). The
discussion was followed by an enlightening talk by HG Ananga Mohan Prabhu,
Damodarashtakam and Kirtan. Also, the national award winning dance troupe of
Devjani enchanted the audience with their dance drama. The presence and message
