KV-63 is the first new discovery in the Valley of the Kings since Howard Carter
uncovered the tomb of King Tutankhamun in 1922.
Not used as a tomb, KV-63 is in fact an embalmer’s cache from the New Kingdom,
containing several coffins and many items used in mummification and burial.
This presentation covers some of the work done by Dr. Otto Schaden and his crew
in the seven years since the discovery and initial study of KV-63.
