Principal’s Announcements
Greetings Astros:
It has been a distinct pleasure to serve as your principal
at Frederick Douglass High
School this school year; however, I have decided to accept an opportunity to serve as a principal in another
school district.

Volunteer of the Month
“Christopher Brown”
Mr. Brown is a proud alumnus of Frederick Douglass High School. He is a very dedicated
volunteer of the school. He is seen in the school daily helping out wherever he can. Mr.
Brown is also very active in supporting the Douglass community. He is a volunteer, a mentor,
and an all around good Samaritan. Mr. Brown is always around supporting our Astros!
Get down with Mr. Brown… Thanks!
Congratulations to Douglass High School for winning
the ELS Reading Plus Reading Achievement Award. In
addition, Douglass High School had the highest Average Rate Gain and an impressive number of
Total Level Ups at 139 Level Up celebrations .
Please accept my decision knowing that I
have appreciated your support and enjoyed getting to know you this school year.

Frederick Douglass High School is an
amazing school, and I am dedicated to
