In 2015, more than 32.000 drivers have been driving on all SWS partner tracks, in 40 different countries. For the 2016 Finals, qualifiers will be1 : • • • 80 drivers in SPRINT CUP SWS 40 teams in 12h ENDURANCE CUP SWS 40 drivers in JUNIOR CUP SWS The event will be held at the Racing Kart Cormeilles track (details on page 4). The competition will be organized as follows: 1 • Administrative check-up & Briefing on Thursday 7th July at 2pm (presence is mandatory for ALL drivers & teams for the administrative check-up) • 2 full days of SPRINT CUP SWS races • A 12h ENDURANCE CUP SWS • 2 full days of JUNIOR CUP SWS races • Animations will be proposed the whole week-end for drivers & guests • A closing ceremony will end up the week-end on Saturday night Nb : the organizer reserves the right to modify the quotas of drivers SWF 2016 - Driver Book - eng 4/13 SWF 2016 - Driver Book - eng Selection process SPRINT CUP SWS o o o o 10 first international drivers 3 first international women drivers 1 first international driver per age group (3 drivers) National drivers from each country represented by one or more SWS track(s) organizing SPRINT races (cf. SWS regulations) ENDURANCE CUP o 10 first international teams o National teams from each country represented by one or more SWS track(s) organizing ENDURANCE races (cf. SWS regulations) JUNIOR CUP o 8 first international drivers o 2 first international women drivers o National drivers from each country represented by one or more SWS track(s) organizing JUNIOR races (cf. SWS regulations) I. ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSES a. VISA If you are not resident of the Schengen area, you will need a VISA. The request for a Schengen VISA should be addressed to the French embassy of your country: http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/ To help you get your VISA, the Sodi World Finals organizer can provide you a letter of invitation. If needed, please kindly send ASAP a written request to the following address: [email protected] b. THE PLACE a. The track The RKC is the biggest karting center in all Europe and considered as one of the most beautiful on earth: the perfect place to organize a World Final! The track is composed by 3 tracks on 10 hectares. b. Geographical localization: The track is situated in France, in the North-West of Paris. The closest city is Cergy, in the Val d’Oise department (95). The weather is oceanic temperate and the average temperature in July is around 20°C. No transport will be organized by the SWS organizer. Plane There are 2 airports in Paris (http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/) : - Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) – situated 30min away from the track - Orly (ORY) – situated 1 hour away from the track A « low-cost » airport is also situated close to the track (http://www.aeroportbeauvais.com/): - Aéroport Paris-Beauvais-Tillé – situated 50min away from the track (up north) Car The track is situated about 30 minutes in the North-West of Paris. Accommodation The organizer of the SODI WORLD FINALS has negotiated some special prices by 4 different hotels, each of them representing a distinctive price range. These hotels are close to each other and about 10/15min away from the track (10km). These hotels are given only for information and the driver and its eventual guests are totally free in the choice of accommodation. The accommodation is at the charge of the driver. Warning: we advise drivers and guests to book their accommodation as soon as possible. The European Football Championship will be held in Paris (Stade de FRANCE) during the same week-end (Final to take place in Paris on Sunday 10th July). PACKAGE Drivers and teams qualified to the SODI WORLD FINALS must pay entry fees, depending the category. The access to the circuit (public zones) will be authorized and free to the guests. a. SWS SPRINT CUP The entry fee is 750 € incl. VAT per driver. This amount includes: - The equipment Meals + beverages for the driver on the track Closing ceremony b. 12H SWS ENDURANCE CUP The entry fee is 1.650 € incl. VAT per team (3 or 4 drivers). This amount includes: - The equipment Meals + beverages for the team on the track Closing ceremony c. SWS JUNIOR CUP The entry fee is 450 € incl. VAT per driver. Closing ceremony The closing ceremony (cocktail, seated dinner & prize ceremony) will take place on a famous “bateaumouche” which will be privatized for this special event. The evening is included in the engagement fee for all qualified drivers & teams and also open to guests (guest price: 130 € - within limit of available places). Proper attire required. IV.
