Committee Positions
General Motors released their monthly sales figures
for May and Corvette sales continue to encourage us. In May
2011, 1,304 Corvettes were delivered to new buyers. Although the sales figures are down 8.7% over May 2010’s
1,428 Corvettes, it does rank as the second best month of
sales since last May. For the calendar year, 5,597 have been
sold which is pacing 13.1% over the 4,950 Corvettes sold the
same time in 2010. Like I said, Corvette sales for 2011 are
very encouraging.
To keep the sales rolling, Chevrolet has extended the
factory incentives on new Corvettes through the July 4th
weekend. For 2011 Corvette models, buyers can receive
$3,000 Dealer Cash or 1.9% financing up to 60 months or
2.9% for 72 months. For the remaining 2010 Corvettes that
are still in dealer showrooms, $4,000 in Customer Cash is
available or finance it for 72 months at 0% interest. The only
Corvette model excluded in the latest round of rebates is the
2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition.
Speaking of the Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition, we
heard that production of the limited edition lightweight Corvettes have finished and a total of 252 were built. Searching
Jeff Hardy’s website, we see a number of them listed as
available for sale. To view the VINs and window stickers, go
to JeffHardy.com and search 2011 Z06s in Supersonic Blue
or Inferno Orange.
Finally, we are tracking a national inventory of 3,987
Corvettes. 3,595 are 2011s, 378 are 2010s and the final 14
are 2009 Corvettes.

eeling hot, hot, hot … feeling hot, hot, hot … feeling
hot, hot, hot … what a great phrase! It can be used
to describe the wonderful weather that has finally arrived. It can also be used to describe the exciting emotional response that one feels when driving their Corvette
that has been taken out of its Winter mothballs for another season of fun.
Secondly, both Stan Goosen and Tom Atherton are
proud “papas” of Corvette acquisitions. Finally, the
good news that came from the Corvette Assembly Plant
that the Plant Manager, Mr. Dave Tatman, will be making a guest appearance at our Car Show in July. Thank
you to Larry Schmor and his neighbour for their efforts
in getting Mr. Tatman to come to our Show. Please review the meeting Minutes in this Newsletter to catch up
Our season of cruising continued with a jaunt down on the details of the meeting. Our Show preparation acto Bowling Green, Kentucky. A fabulous trip, with the
tivities are well underway. There will be information

who participated in the trip. Having such a great group
of folks on the trip truly contributed to its success. The
foundation of the good times however, was the hard
work and co-ordination efforts put in by Lynn Mytroen
with the support of her hubby John Mytroen. Thank you
Lynn and John for making the trip enjoyable for all who
went.
Our June meeting was very well attended. Thank
you to all of the folks who came out. A number of “good
news” events were shared among the members. Firstly,
congratulations were extended to Dave and Debbie
Fralick
on
becoming
Grandparents.
A number of additional social activities are being
planned for the Summer and Fall. Please refer to the
NCC Calendar in this Newsletter for updates.
Once again, I encourage all members to contact any
of the Club Executives to submit and discuss your ideas
for Club events and activities.
Together, we can all look forward to enjoying our
Corvettes for another year of safe and happy motoring.
Remember to “Save the Wave !”.

8:00 p.m.
President Harold Anders welcomed all the membership to the meeting and congratulated Dave and Debbie Fralick on becoming grandparents.
President’s Report - Harold Anders
Old Business:
We have 9 members who would like Club jackets. A minimum order of 12 is required by the supplier. However, as we are ordering Club t-shirts this week, we will try to reduce the jacket order to 9. Otherwise, we will have to wait until we have 12 orders for Club jackets.
We have 9 requests for Club t-shirts being ordered this week to be delivered in time for the St. Catharine’s Car Show on Saturday, July 9th.
An e-mail will be sent to the 23 members who indicated they may be able to help park cars for the show to confirm if they are
still available on July 9th. The location of the pre-show gathering spot and the parking area for our cars will be confirmed at the
July meeting. Those not in attendance will be notified by e-mail.
New Business:
Everyone had a wonderful time at Bowling Green. A special thank you to Lynn and John Mytroen for all the hard work in putting the trip together and to all the members who participated.
The GM Car Show and Open House is to be held on Friday, August 5th. We may need members to guide people through on the
walking tour. Graeme Tiels will act as liaison for the event.
A visit to the National Corvette Museum was part of the Bowling Green trip. The idea was raised as to NCC becoming a member of the Museum at a cost of $250.00 the first year
And $150.00 each year after. We should think about this. The benefits include : listing on the NCM website, a plaque stating
membership to display at our functions, a free business card ad once each year in a single issue of “America’s Sports Car“, a
subscription to “ America’s Sports Car”, publicity, six free passes to the Museum and a discount on the facility rental.
George Dalbergs moved that NCC join the National Corvette Museum, seconded by Dave Drake. The motion passed.
The Lincoln County Fair organizers have asked us to participate again this year on Friday, September 9th. The Club will be
receiving $300.00 again for our support.
Vice-President’s Report - Bill Colclough
Keep in mind the 60th Anniversary of the Corvette in 2013 and the 50th Anniversary of the Stingray and come up with ideas for
Club activities. We are waiting to hear what GM is doing for the big event.
Committee Reports:
Secretary’s Report - Chris Copeland
Chris thanked Gail Anders for taking over the May meeting in her absence.
Financial Report - John Mytroen, Treasurer
The Club is in good financial standing.
Social Committee - Lynn Mytroen
Outdoor mini-golf is scheduled for Saturday, August 13th, followed by a potluck supper at the Mytroen’s.

Plans are underway for a possible overnight cruise to Gravenhurst with a boat cruise included, in late September or early October.
Show Committee - Bill Colclough
A special thank you to Larry Schmor for introducing the Club to Dave Tatman, Corvette Assembly Plant Manager. He will be
coming to our car show and bringing a 2012 ZRI as part of the “Six Generations of Corvettes” display.
Bill, Harold and Klaus did a grounds tour of the winery in preparation for the show.
Newsletter/Website - Ian Bell
The go-ahead was given to Ian to purchase six placards, one for each Generation of Corvette printed with the car’s information on it.

O
ur June event was held on Saturday June 4 with a
trip to London Ont. at the Fleetwood Farms
Country Cruize-In. 3 determined cars drove through
the rain only to be rewarded with a hot sunny day and
a great show of cars.
John and I will lead an ice-cream run on Tuesday
June 21 to celebrate summer. Just meet us at the back
parking lot of the Tim Horton’s at York and Glendale
at 7 pm for a cruise through NOTL ending at Avondale’s Dairy Bar.
July is very busy with our show and many other
shows so no social events are planned.
August long weekend is July 30/31; Aug 1.
The Simcoe Car show is Sunday July 31 as is the Canal Days Port Colborne Car Show. John and I will be attending the Port Colborne Show and hope others will join us. Wendy and Jake Bas have offered to host drinks and
appetizers after the show at their new place in Port Colborne. For those interested dinner will follow at a local restaurant then fireworks on the canal. Details will be available for the July meeting.
Saturday August 13 (rain date Sunday August 14) is set aside for our mini-golf at The Greens on Brock in
Thorold. Save the date as details will follow.
Fort Erie Race Track date is tentatively Sunday September 11. The cost per person is $25.75 and is a prepaid
event. If interested please let Lynn or John know ASAP so we can book the restaurant.
Finally input is requested for what everyone would like to do for a fall cruise. Tentative dates of September
24/25 or October 1/2. We could do a weekend cruise to Gravenhurst/Haliburton area or a day event on the Grand
River Boat Cruise. Again please offer suggestions or comments to Lynn or John ASAP so the
planning can begin.
Let’s get out and cruise as often as possible…our summer is short enough!

DETROIT — Chevrolet plans to offer a variety of performance and appearance packages on the 2012 Corvette,
according to early dealer ordering information. Among the options for 2012 are a High Performance package on the
Corvette ZR1 and an upgraded Z07 Ultimate Performance package for the Corvette Z06.
Chevrolet dealer Ken Fichtner of Laurel, Montana, posted a lengthy list of new 2012 Corvette options and features
on the Corvette Forum Web site. In response to an e-mail inquiry, Fichtner told Inside Line that the information “is
accurate and supplied to me directly by GM as Advance Product Information.”
Aside from the previously announced
Centennial Edition model, perhaps the
most interesting option on the 2012
Corvette is the ZR1 High Performance package, which bundles black
cup-style aluminum wheels (19-inch
front and 20-inch rear), Michelin PS
Cup tires and a six-speed manual
transmission.
For 2012, the Z07 Ultimate Performance package for the Corvette Z06
includes Performance Traction Management (previously a ZR1 exclusive), Michelin PS Cup tires, black
cup-style aluminum wheels, Magnetic
Selective Ride Control and Brembo
carbon-ceramic brakes.
A new Technology package bundles a
Bose premium audio system with navigation, head-up display, Bluetooth and a USB port. Carlisle Blue Metallic is
a new exterior color, and style-challenged Corvette convertible buyers may now choose a blue convertible top.
Inside Line says: Chevy is buying more time for the aging Corvette, and it’s doing it the right way — by focusing
on performance.
