Our brief
Bullen’s healthcare is a 150 year old family business, still run by the
fifth generation. The company decided to relocate their premises and
purchased the Glacier Building over looking the River Mersey front, in
Liverpool.
The premises was a warehouse shell, which required a conversion into
offices, meeting rooms, call centre area, showers, w/c’s and breakout
area.

How we inspired
Jennor [UK] Ltd were appointed to design and fit out their new premises,
the works also involved providing furniture solutions for the high profile
project.
Within the unit, the warehouse was transformed into a contemporary working
space, while also reflecting the character of the original build.
Jennor installed a new raised access floor, with heating and cooling solutions,
built into the floor void, full mechanical and electrical design, as a design and
build contract.
Jennor provided new external curtain walling, new frameless glass entrance doors,
partitions, glass partitions, decoration, feature pods, granite kitchen worktops and
kitchens, showers and changing rooms, walnut doors, new flooring throughout.
All furniture, desks, meeting tables, storage, chairs, breakout
furniture and feature furniture.

The result
The meeting room and training room is particularly impressive,
featuring folding tables for flexibility, sliding folding partition,
feature lighting LED trough and concealed projector with
Electronic Automated controls.
Wood back seating with two tone fabric, pop up power and
data built into desks and also Armour Coat feature sculpture
wall.

The result
The original designs by Jennor have been toned down, however,
the basic premise and concepts have been retained.
The working environment within what appears from the outside
to be a warehouse, is not only individual, but also striking.

One Derby
Square.
Our brief
One Derby Square is an imposing building on Castle Street, Liverpool,
in close proximity to Liverpool One and the Law Courts.
Jennor [UK] Ltd completed a major project some years ago, at the
premises including the main reception, common areas, second and
third floors.
Jennor [UK] Ltd also completed a strip out project of the 4th floor, taking
the area back to a shell.

How we inspired
Jennor [UK] Ltd was engaged by Jones Lang Lasalle to undertake
a CAT A refurbishment of the 4th floor area.
The area was a bare shell, Jennor installed all the mechanical
and electrical infra structure, installed a raised access floor, new
ceilings, new joinery works, new w/c area, new lighting and feature
lighting.
The scheme also included full new decorations, including all existing
metal framed windows, new floor finishes, feature carpets, wall
and floor tiling.
Following refurbishment there has been considerable interest,
in the newly refurbished suites by prospective tenants.

The result
Our excellent finishing shines through, creating a very
marketable suite, ready for a new tenant.
All the works undertaken at Derby Square are to the
high standards everyone at Jennor expects.

The Cunard
Building.
Our brief
Known as one of the Three Graces, the Cunard Building is a World
Heritage site on Liverpool’s waterfront.
Jennor [UK] Ltd completed a full CAT A fit out, including
mechanical and electrical as a design and build.
Our brief
Known as one of the Three Graces, the Cunard Building is a World Heritage site
on Liverpool’s waterfront. Built during the First World War, the building served
as the headquarters and main passenger terminal for the world’s most famous
shipping company, the Cunard Steamship Company.
The steam ships, which included the Mauritania, the Queen Elizabeth and
Queen Mary, sailed from the Cunard Building to Canada and the US.
The building was originally designed to the highest specification to reflect
life upon Cunard’s luxury liners.
Now, the historic building is owned by Merseyside Pension Fund and occupied
by a variety of public and privately-owned organisations.
We were appointed by Managing Agents CB Richard Ellis to refurbish the
part 3rd floor suite into high-quality office space.

How we inspired
CBRE wanted to bring the building into the 21st century without losing the many
original features that reflect a bygone era of elegant voyages to recapture the
grace and excitement of the Cunard Building.
The CAT A refurbishment to the 3rd floor demanded extremely careful management
as the building housed existing tenants and shared services.
The project included for the installation of the M&E infrastructure, new raised
access flooring, new ceilings, new power, lighting, fire alarm system, window
overhaul and finishes complete.
The project was also M&E design and build, Jennor had to design the M&E systems
to meet criteria and performance demands required by the client CBRE.
Careful and sympathetic in regards to the refurbishment was required to satisfy the
Conservation office for this Historical Grade Two listed building.

Pilkington Glass
Our brief
Pilkington Glass has invested £38 million in a state of the art glass
coating plant, at Cowley Hill, St. Helens.
Jennor [UK] Ltd were invited to design and build the new Control
Room, Laboratory, Acoustic Booth and Transformer Room, as part
of a major project in the North West.
Due to the nature of the area, the construction needed to be
specialist hygienic panels.

How we inspired
Our excellent approach to working in sensitive areas, respecting
and adhering to the clients internal policies and procedures, ensured
the contract ran smoothly.
Jennor [UK] Ltd has a Health and Safety team, which ensure peace
of mind, in terms of ensuring all controls, procedures and policies
are implemented and adhered to on all projects small or large.
The project was managed and allocated to one project manager,
ensuring not only one point of contact for the client, but one
point of global responsibility for the project.

How we inspired
The works further involved the construction of the new module
blocks, in conjunction with all the electrics, ventilation, plumbing and
air-conditioning.
Jennor [UK] Ltd provided specialist work benches, furniture and
all the finishes complete – in strict accordance to Pilkington’s
requirements.
Internal photos of the control room cannot be shown due to the
sensitive commercial nature of the area and technologies.

QVC
Our brief
Situated within Birchwood Shopping Centre, Warrington. Chris
Simms representing QVC as project manager, agreed to work with
Jennor in producing a specification and layout design, working along
their designer.
Jennor was delighted to be involved in the project, while attending
various stage meetings, involving numerous QVC representatives,
Jennor was compelled to help QVC bring their project to life.

How we inspired
Jennor used their expertise within the refurbishment industry,
to put forward the latest products in terms of Quality, Finish and
Energy efficiency.
While working with their designer, we also planned their warehouse,
goods area, including offices, toilets, canteen, comms room and
Jewellery processing area.
Jennor further helped in terms of specifying all the finishes and
products.
The mechanical ventilation, air-conditioning and lighting, including
feature lighting, was all designed by Jennor [the contract was a
Design and Build].

How we inspired
Due to deadlines required to be met by QVC, the project timescale
was very tight, from empty shell to the store being completed,
commissioned and tested was seven weeks.
Within the contract period Jennor also managed and executed
additional works, and variations to the contract, while still delivering
the project on time.
Jennor utilised their experienced team, having a sole project
manager on site everyday, in conjunction with a site manager and
site foreman to ensure the project ran smoothly and on
programme.

The result
The store was opened to hundreds of shoppers, the opening
was a great success.
Jennor was proud to have been involved in the project and
working along side one of the giants of retail.

Main entrance included Amtico Metal Foil floor tiles, bespoke
reception counters, feature Hacel lighting, feature pendants
and Colinwood LED spot lights, all designed by Jennor.
